BRIAN HERE (Angela in bed 1am Saturday !) We love JOAN BAEZ she was at Llangollen International Eissteddfodd recently and still as Beautiful as ever. There is only ONE JOAN BAEZ ! Angelas poem today is about Paradise ~ somewhere to escape from an ecologically dying Earth. She suggests that if Populated Planets (if they exist ?) are too distant ~ then One should travel to NZ ! She is now more hooked than I am !
Blessings & Peace to You & Joyce
Love BRIAN & ANGELA💙🧡💙🧡💙

Such a sad but true wake-up call your posted today my friend - your verse helps us see what this earth desperately needs from its human population for greed brings naught but destruction.

We, as humans, may think we rule the earth but let us remember we only \'rule\' the land. Most of our planet\'s surface is covered by sea where we are inferior to every marine life form. An environment where we do not see any particular species \'ruling the roost\' but all behaving in a natural manner until man spills oil or suchlike.
Life on this planet will endure catastrophe after catastrophe but mankind is unlikely to be among those survivors.
As you can see, I found your piece a thought provoking read today.

I was bought a croquet set as a child but the mallets and balls were weightless polythene which made it impossible to use really.
It does sound great fun but i think i\'ll just stick to croquet potatoes.

Yes it can be great fun until someone takes it too seriously and it then becomes highly competitive and the fun drains away - but I guess that\'s so with all kind of sports.

I can feel the pain it took to write this piece for your neighbor when letting go is so big a part of your own life today.
For the better good of a loved one we suffer our personal loss knowing we are doing the right thing.

Alan .S. Jeeves said:
I wrote this a long time ago for a lady who\'s young son was about to join the armed forces and leave her embrace:~
I\'ll wager my man drubs the bout,
I\'ll wager my cards win;
I\'ll bet you think, without a doubt,
That gambling is a sin.
I\'ll risk my bottom dollar
That all the good and wise,
Or any learned scholar,
Despise the gaming guise.
I\'ll wager my horse takes the race
And I enhance my stake;
He\'ll run and run to gain a place,
The winning post to make.
But I\'ll wager you your sparkling smile
You\'ll remember that first time
You held your childrens\' hand a while
As they were in their prime.
I\'ll wager you a candy kiss
I firmly guess it\'s so -
I\'ll bet you won\'t remember this...
You ever letting go.
(Her young man flew far away, flew as high as eagles fly and, alas, never returned)
Ex animo, Alan
