Looking To The Lamb

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you Steven ... I was typing my comments here an hour or so ago when my PC started to play up ... the letter \'\'a\' kept typing itself repeatedly and no matter what I tried, it just kept on aaa\'ing .. even when my wife tried on her pages the same think kept happening ... I seriously thought I had a virus .... well not me exactly but .. I\'m sure you know what I mean ...

Anyway only after shutting down several times and getting more and more frustrated, I checked the mouse and keyboard and found the letter a had got stuck ....

Phew ... now sorted .. problem is, I can\'t remember what I wanted to say in thee first place ... Neville

Before the clip starts playing - Hope your morns are not dark and cheerless!
We can\'t change the natural dark mornings of Winter though. Don\'t spend them one or two minutes extra of daylight each day now, all at once!

Nicely poemed, even though it talks of wrath.

seven seems to be a very significant number in many faiths and doctrines ..

I found your words today really quite intriguing ... I like figs too by the way ...

A bit of background.
A very old hymn in the clip. The hymn could be sung when the \'elements\' of bread and wine at Holy Communion were brought out in the Service. Then silence, no human stirring, but godly fear of an awesome sort. Yet not silent in that the congregation were singing the hymn then!
Maybe some strict places are like it now - not a whisper, not a cough, not a peep of any human sound, during prayers and pre-Communion time in the Service
A deep, heavy type of tune, made a bit lighter in the clip I have chosen, I think.

to the tune of the humpty dumpty nursery rhyme:-

Humpty trumpty promised a wall
told us mexico would pay for it all
but with all of his lies
now all of his men
won\'t let trump be president again.

Like I said before, I love it when ya deviate ..
This is a fine poem devoted (a great pun that and wholly intentional) to a deplorable, dark and devious orange narcissist .. fortunately the rarest of the bunch and all round bad egg ....

Maybe it\'s a novelty, electing \'celebrities\' to positions of power?
But KP has applied to be PM. There\'s no stopping her, ya know.
She also applied for \'President of The Old Trout Club\', Nothing to do with fishing though. They appointed her immediately! lol.

You\'d think I\'d remember having sung a tune called RICHMOND, but I didn\'t, at least not till i heard it. I can sing your words to it, though.

Typo, line 3: I suppose you meant \'say\'.

I hear there are those who believe a vanguard is either a security officer or a modified front n rear bumper set ....

All joking aside, you are without any doubt Steven, the most prolific scriber of hymn-poems I am likely ever to encounter .......... write on ..

There are seven seals in all. The first four fitted into one poem. There is more detail given for the other seals - number five here; numbers six and seven to follow.

I can sing this, to the shape-note tune STAR IN THE EAST (Southern Harmony, Christian Harmony 2010, Episcopal hymnal; not in Sacred Harp), but I can find three other tunes to which the text is sometimes set, two of them in Hymns Ancient & Modern Revised. All of them count it 11.10.11.10. Which tune are you singing it to?
