THANKS BROTHER ~ This is one of my favourite hymns ! Always chose it if I\'m preaching the GOSPEL ~ Singing it really lifts the congregation up to Heaven. History tells me BILLY GRAHAM used it as the theme tune for his first LONDON CRUSADE in 1954 and apparently it has been popular as a congregational hymn ever since ! Beverley Shea went to be with the Lord aged 103 a couple of years ago and Cliff Burrows (93) last year only BILLY is left aged 97. I have visited his memorial Library in Charlotte N Carolina where his wife RUTH is buried ~ very moving. Thanks for your very positive witness on this site, Your hymn based on PSALM 81 is very moving ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

Hello Goldie - dunno why I\'ve not done over 8,000 hymns yet, seeing as I\'m millions of years old, so I say! heehee.

I\'ve far to go to match the original hymn-writer! Over 8,000 hymns, even though blind since infancy, and living to age 95. A lifelong Methodist too! (G/F60!).

Well, as Walmart is irrelevant to this poem, I shall delete it.

The idea of \'dance\' may not appeal to everyone. it can be a literal dance, or can be in a poetic sense of the \'dance of life\'. It\'s a great hymn, though I found it a bit eccentric in places for a while, when I first came across it!

Good write again Orchi. You have actually hit on one of the Hymns that I am going to have at my funeral (in many years time) Be Still is a special hymn to me which brings back wonderful memories.

Oops don\'t shoot me down in flames. I corrected a typo. I put \'Chris\' instead of \'Christ\'! if you spotted it before, you may say \'Who\'s Chris\'?!

It\'s difficult Soul. I may give to Africa, etc. I don\'t know the person in the USA. Well you may reply - I don\'t know the Africans either. I have my \'system\' of giving though.

Thanks for sharing BROTHER ~ this is areal golden oldie ~ which i think my Parents used to sing. Wonderful words in the original and in the excellent poem you have written ~ in the same metre. Gospel Gladness is indeed that \"Christ is the answer to our every need\". Chrisianity is alive and well in England but increasingly has to compete with secularism and false Religions such as Islam etc. One of the many things I love about this site is that when we post a spiritual poem it is not ridiculed but receives positive and encouraging comments. Also there are many members who are Committed Christians ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN
