I love the wonderful Hills of the North Rejoice and your own words fit so well into the tune - a veritable feast of spiritual blessings in these stanzas and thank you for sharing them.

Good write.

The oldest Book of Common Prayer that I have is 1929 and I don\'t think that is old enough for what you want.

Thanks STEPHEN ~ a very inspiring hymn and poem. In our Evening Service (6:30 ~ 8:00 pm) we often sing these Victorian hymns ~ the Words are very reverential and I like your version ~ beautiful ! I will use it as a recitation in one of the services. In the Morning service (11:45 ~ 12:00 noon) we have the Youth Band and Modern Spring Harvest Hymns and lots of kids & teens ! In the evening we just have the Organ (LOWRY) and Keyboard and the audience is generally 30 + The TEENS go to an Inter~church Youth Service in Town ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ Blessings BRIAN

A fairly old clip from Christmas Eve 1961 originally! The original hymn was based on Psalm 72.
