Thanks \"O\" for a great \"hymn\" based on the events in Holy Week You are a blessing to MPS. Interesting your comments on the 12 Disciples reactions to the Crucifixion. When JESUS eventually ascended back to Heaven (40 days after the Resurrection) His Father (GOD) congratulated Him on a job well done. However GOD said you chose an odd group of Followers ! Judas betrayed and Peter denied you all the rest except John ran off. John went to the cross and looked after your Mum the Virgin Mary ! GOD then asked JESUS ~ do you have a plan B ? No Jesus said but we have sent the HOLY SPIRIT to empower the 11 Disciples and they will no longer be afraid. The HOLY SPIRIT will also empower the countless millions who will follow me and the Christian Church will thrive and grow ~ for the next 2000 years and a third of the World\'s Population will follow the Christian Faith ~ so in a way ~ not just the 11 Disciples ~ but each individual Christian being filled with the Holy Spirit will be PLAN B ~ AMEN ~ Yours BRIAN

A very expressive picture of the trials that our Christ had to face at that momentous time. A timely reminder dear friend.

I just noticed this in readings today - the woman GAVE over 300 pence worth of ointment in one go. Judas was happy to RECEIVE 30 pieces of silver for the cost of Jesus\' life, whether he thought his betrayal would eventually lead to that or not.

I could not find words and music clip. Maybe it\'s OK, as the original hymn and words are of Isaiah\'s vision.

Hi Orchidee - first thank you for all your kind comments you have posted for my poetry. Please forgive for not commenting on any of your postings so far. This is not out of disrespect but as I am not a Christian I find it difficult to make meaningful comment on religious based work. However I can assure you that I do fully recognise your expertise and skill when it comes to writing and long may it continue. Hope I\'m forgiven.

THANKS BROTHER ~ This is one of my favourite hymns ! Always chose it if I\'m preaching the GOSPEL ~ Singing it really lifts the congregation up to Heaven. History tells me BILLY GRAHAM used it as the theme tune for his first LONDON CRUSADE in 1954 and apparently it has been popular as a congregational hymn ever since ! Beverley Shea went to be with the Lord aged 103 a couple of years ago and Cliff Burrows (93) last year only BILLY is left aged 97. I have visited his memorial Library in Charlotte N Carolina where his wife RUTH is buried ~ very moving. Thanks for your very positive witness on this site, Your hymn based on PSALM 81 is very moving ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

I\'ve far to go to match the original hymn-writer! Over 8,000 hymns, even though blind since infancy, and living to age 95. A lifelong Methodist too! (G/F60!).
