This is a wonderful poem. I loved some of your phrasing (i.e. A bird sings lightly in the blues, friendly feathers, cotton wool tunes, a kindness whispers in the sky.) Sweet words that make the sadness disappear. _ Phil A.

For the better part of my life I always gave in to what the people in my life wanted me to do. I didn\'t want to hurt feelings, or have arguments, and I didn\'t want them upset with me, I wanted to keep peace. By never expressing my desires I enabled them to keep that control. I understand all these years later, had I stood up for myself, I may have ruffled some feathers, and there may have been hurt feelings, but if love and respect are strong it will overcome obstacles.
