Another very well written poem Nicole, I especially like how you use the painting and canvas metaphor to depict hurt, sadness, and finally love, going from the dark colors to bright colors. Somehow I can imagine the whole transformation. Well done.

well you have painted a very clear inspiration for the thought of love and you managed to carry it across very well.

You are a real poet. Thats a very fine piece. May i suggest you remove the word \'of\' from line two. Its just the way i read it. Beautiful sentiment in this work.

Baylee, this little 4-liner is exquisite. The last line though could be misunderstood. Are you pregnant?
Just kidding! :-)

Sooner than you think your forest will have flourished again. It is so beautiful to be young and have your heart available waiting for another love. Thanks for sharing your feelings.

Baylee, using the forest as a metaphor for your love is very beautifull and fitting. As your forest/love grows it becomes stronger protecting from rain, wind, and even too much sunshine. It is sad when the forest/love burns down, but from and nourished by the ashes a new, maybe even much more beautiful forest/love will start to grow.
You wrote a very wonderful poem. Thank you.

Incredible writing Nicole. While it is true that some of the greatest works of art in writing, sculpture, or painting have materialized out of the pain of the artist, personally I don\'t think that pain is a pre-requisite for great art.
You ARE an artist, pain or no pain!

Falling in love is as beautiful as it is dangerous. Would be much better if we could just love without falling or being foolish.

Indeed, why pick the \"flowerless thorn\"? Baylee I really like this poem, especially the part where you ask why love cannot be a \"paradise for the wise\". Is it maybe because we lose our heads when we fall in love?
