The worldwide figures are of course higher and affect all in just the same way. After all, foreigners ARE human too.
But what, if anything, will we learn from this? What, if anything, will you learn from this?

A very clear poetic way of seeing this number and reminding ourselves of lives lose and lives left behind to mourn - a moving write Sue.

Thank you for your lovely words - we certainly are in strange times.
I also wrote this prayer for the time

A prayer for our time

Our NHS, who are in our hearts,
honoured in our minds,
Out of retirement some have come,
When there is work to be done,
on the front line for all of us.

We give you this day our daily thanks.
And we realise your torment and stress,
as we fight this virus
That threatens against us.

Don’t lead yourself into temptation,
but isolate to help deliver us from this evil.

For ours is the responsibility
and the power, and the duty,
To protect the NHS and each other
For the sake of all we hold dear. Amen.

Delight is there for us, people are coming together even though they remain apart. I hope that this wonderful way that many people are coming together during this time remains when all is well again.
Your words express the happiness that can be found in trouble.

Good write Sue. We have been to Fountains Abbey some years ago and it is truly wonderful.
We too have the remains of an Abbey in Evesham, apparently it was so important that one of the villages it used include in its area was some little town called Birmingham.
