The enigmatic time problem. So many ways to question time aren\'t there. I like and agree with each of your observations. Mostly the past (like the time taken to type this) is irrelevant in our lives.. gone forgotten swish... next etc... but there are certain deeds we do which carry a timestamp and remains ever present..... and time is also a great healer.... or am I falling over hackneyed phrases. TIME phew!... what a subject Fred.
Needless to say you dragged me right in with this post. Very enjoyable.

The interplay between poetry/words and images is always tantalizing to consider. I enjoyed your little conceit here and the past-present-future observations. Relativity indeed. Growing up, I would wander in the fields on a dark night, the only light the stars casting a pale sheen on the dry grass... I would stop, raise my arms, and contemplate that then and there, in my little neck of the woods, where and as I stood, was the center of the universe, of all time and space.

True love lives on within us. But what does it make of us.... all we have is to follow our honest emotion. Led by our poetic heart.
A great emotional write Fred.

Don\'t normally comment on love poems Fred... Yours came to my notice owing to it\'s position on the list.
Nice juxtaposition of two aspects of a long term relationship.
Found third stanza of Embers particularly true and poignant.

\'the warm salty water cuddling me like a womb
releasing primeval sensations of belonging and being
at one with the mystical wonder of creation
my mind feels at home, comfortable, loved\'..
Brilliant!
behold, a poet utilising that confidence excavated from \'wasted\' hours before blank pages and those broken backspace and delete keys..
flexing - as that hindered creativity begins to stretch and reach for all the potential: awaiting to be unleashed!
keep striving dear poet, soar within your wings of ink,
Mahalo Fred

We see this all to often, even here on MPS. I\'m as guilty as any one in handing out advice too but I do try to imagine what would be a wholesome outcome should my advice be taken.
Will your words be absorbed by the knee-jerkers with their advice one wonders.

Yet that does not give the other person licence to bop us one - or two - them cheeks!
Similar to - if one hand offends you, cut if off. But we will still have the other hand that can offend too. Doh! It\'s an expression exaggerated for emphasis though, to root out wrong things, not meant literally.
