Christian women are instructed in The Good Book not to wear much gold, among other things. \'Chance would be a fine thing to even have any gold\', they may say!

My Preaching Site, I thought my world of dogs is difficult. I should remind myself of this, although it can be the same chatting to some people!

Love it!
Hope you are well my friend?

So true d a, I am with you all the way.

In the historical maps when it was thought the world was flat at the edge of the world they always put \"Beware, here be dragons!\"

I don\'t know why you think you have to regurgitate all this well known stuff like a junior school teacher.
Are you disputing that the man made writings the biblical tales were selected from were written in the days when man thought the earth was flat of something?
You seem stuck in the rut of telling people what to do which you do both here in your comments and in your preaching post elsewhere.
For some obscure reason you bring up the subject of evolution (I didn\'t mention it anywhere) which you state is just a theory. I would remind you that nobody has been able to prove the existence of the christian god or that jesus was the son of god or that jesus was the son of a virgin.... all those too are just a theory based upon ancient writings.
For some reason you also bring up the subject of sunrise and sunset (again not mentioned by me) and ask me a ridiculous question about writing to the met office.... the mind boggles as to where you are coming from.
May I suggest you concentrate on writing poetry on MPS and stop the second rate preaching.

ANGELA HERE - Good Afternoon DA - Thanks for a poem which has made Brian & I LOL just as our poem also gave you a Good Laugh ! Doctors have confirmed that a *Belly Laugh* is good for YOU ! I presume you are talking about the BIBLE - The Inspired Word of GOD.
Firstly the BIBLE is not a Scientific Text Book because no one would have understood it Thousands of Years ago and the majority still would not understand it today ! It is writen from a PHENOMONISTIC point of view. So from a TERRESTRIAL ASPECT the Sun does appear to Rise each Morning & Set each evening. Have you written to the Met Office complaining about them using the terms SUNRISE & SUNSET ?
In 1475 Corpinicus proved the Earth was in fact suspended in Space and that it and the other Planets revolved round the Sun and that the Sun was the centre f the Solar System. The great Astronermer Keplar stated that Experimental Scientists sare *Only thinking Gods thoughts after Him* We see Beauty - Purpose - Order & Design in the Natural World - not just Blind Chance !
In 3000 BC The Book of Job (wtitten about 3000 BC) states (26 v 7) *God hangs the earth on Nothing* i.e It was floating in space and a priori its shape (and that of the Moon) would be spherical. Nowhere in the Bible does it state *THE EARTH IS FLAT* All other *Religions^ considered the Earth was supported by mythical creatures ! HINDU - Four Elephants on the back of a giant Turtle ! THE GREEKS - The GOD Atlas held the EARTH on his back ! NORSE - The Earth and the other Planets were held up by a Giant Ash Tree ! etc etc. Brian & I are both Scientists and have found NOTHING in the Bible that contradicts the TRUTH of SCIENCE. Evolution is still a THEORY ! When you have spent 5 Years studying the Bible (with an open Mind) come back to us with another peom ! Brian and I accept by FAITH that the Bible is *The Inspired Word of God* ! For us 1. It claims to be 2. It seems to be (when we read it) 3. In its Global Influence and in our Personal Lives it proves to be - AMEN. Thanks for you Poem it made us think - but in the end it strengthened our Faith !

Peace & Joy & Love to You & Yours
Yours ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🤍💙🤍🧡

Once upon a time, not that many years ago, on the very edge of town and largely cloaked in secrecy, I worked in a place.. rather like a large self contained village, or small town.... There the officers went about their daily chores dressed in white uniforms and tried tirelessly to convince many of the local inhabitants that the earth was shaped like a pyramid and spun in the air like a green and blue triangle.....

tis true I tell ya......it all happened not long after they proved the earth was indeed flat….

You tell a fine tale in so few words DA....

OVER hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire,
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moonè\'s sphere;
And I serve the fairy queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green:
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours,
In those freckles live their savours:
I must go seek some dew-drops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip\'s ear.
Farewell thou lob of spirits: I\'ll be gone
Our queen and all our elves come here anon.
