they all come out at night, don\'t they and need to be watched ..

Thanks for literarily keeping your eyes open for us Dan .. AGT\'s

I know nothing much about US politics, but I know a liar, a bigot and a narcissist when I see or hear one ..

I had a good deal of time for Obama and believe him to have been an eloquent statesman with vision and good intent ..

Your words hang mighty pretty on this page though regardless sir .. Neville

When young I worked both swing and graveyard shifts and relate to this poem. I have slept on my feet and been prodded by the night watchman when they saw I was going through motions with my eyes closed. The repetative nature of the line I am the night watchman is hypnotic in a sense and contributes to the feel of the poem. Very nicely done

You express yourself so well in these reflections. A fine write with some wonderful lines. Sometimes we have to process these things to get them out. Cheers, Tom.

Dan you have linked together a series of gem like stanzas that all relate to ageing. Being in the winter of life I feel the cold of this poem and the wisdom in it. Some of my favorite lines were: Life clung to past reasonable, becomes poor exercise, Why does time hold from us wisdom till its application little matters?, sadness always climbs on for the ride, you pay the fare. A wonderful and most thoughtful write

In life we have these problems sometimes Dan but we have dealt with them otherwise we would not be here now and from that experience we know how to move on into a better place .

Try to stay cool (this advice from someone who doesn\'t some of the time) because it is no good for your physical health.
Disciplined write though.

In depth into the mind of a berserker. Savage, determined, devoted, naked and sometimes drugged. Warrior of the north. Valhalla I say.

This is quite a ride of ups and downs around and around. I think I ended up back where I began or maybe I got lost in that maze. Good write.

\"They\" claim that Percy Bysshe Shelley was \"mad,\" yet I most heartily disagree. I see where they find their points, and must still disagree. This rather intriguing invitation into the discussion is fascinating and rendered to effect with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. You\'re too clever. Thank you for sharing.
