Superb \'less is more\' lesson for those who drag on and on and on in their MPS offerings.
So many questions the thinking reader will contemplate here.

The beach with crashing waves, relentless, powerful beauty. Always refreshes me, reminds me of humanity\'s insignificance in the universe and today i read of the sand i overlook whilst enjoying my mind trips.
More wonder yet then upon my next visit to the shore - i shall recall your piece and include the sand underfoot/bum in my freshly enhanced insignificance.

A fine write N. But what\'s going on, on that beach? Will Fido bark at it?! He always noses around everywhere.

It is such a hard thing to come to terms with, I came across it with a couple of Cadets when I was Chaplain to the Sea Cadets, all I could do was listen and hope that they would be able to see how to come to terms with it in their own way.

I really like this. As someone who has gone through these issues...the fact you mention they are worn with pride...not many people understand why, or even how someone can do this. Thank you for highlighting it.

Shocker. You\'ve brought to me a new appreciation of some aspects of self harming here. I had not been aware that the scars were worn with pride.
Disturbing, revealing, educational.
What a gripping piece from you today.

Having worked with poeple with substance missuse issues I have seen the affects of self harm Neville and I admire your bravery to bring such subjects to the fore.
Well expressed you captured the feeling harmers have for their condition well.
Bravp again!

For those who have never experienced it either personally or within the family it\'s hard to understand but I do appreciate the trauma for those who do and this sad yet engaging write clearly brings it home. It\'s so easy to say \'get a grip\' but that isn\'t the answer for those so sadly affected.

Oh Neville - - that telling last stanza goes right to the core of most issues of this tragic subject -- a read to set the heart breaking for such ones who resort to self-harm . A sad but true happening within
families and expressed with compassion in your posting today.

Oohh the subject makes me shudder - and not out of swooniness (is that a word?). I came across some in a counselling group. I can understand why they do it though.

Bits of this and that remain, glances at mirrors recall a lurking \'why?\'. A piece of crockery, a salt cellar, happy days in St Ives... a hope worn out,... yesterdays tomorrows denied.
For me they are all there in your writing today.

A fine write N. I\'m not saying I\'m ugly, but I\'ve had a million years bad luck it seems. Well, I will keep looking in the mirror. Each time it cracks and it adds 7 years bad luck. Doh!
I might be handsome?! heehee.

A truly poetic farewell. Yes some goodbyes linger for they are a lost battle of the heart and wounds take their time to heal.
I particularly like the way your pulse will dance on into high and wonderful places. Life goes on and has wonders yet to come.
