Such a heart-rending read Alta - hoping it was not written from experience............ if so then all my sincere condolences.

What changed? Why don\'t you do what you used to do in verse one anymore?

You\'ll upset Orchidee toying with his emotions so.

What I find most sad in this poem is how that self-assured, relaxed and happy, silky and sexy woman turns into a teary and lonely creature. Well written Alta.

Firmly entrenched as a singleton now mealtimes are no occasion at all.
The ceremony of high dining would be enjoyable no doubt but looking at the long game.... is it ever worth it..... a step in the direction of eventually finding out t hey weren\'t the one anyway. (me in pessimistic mode)

Ooohh, just give us a call, and I\'ll pop round! Then you won\'t be alone. I might swoon though, if you\'re \'silky and sexy\'! lol.

Waiting

Great Haiku. Today I didn\'t have to wait for the rain, it started even before I got up and is still going strong. Am now waiting for the sun! :-)

The beauty in pain
FredPeyer said:

I do like your poem. True beauty comes from the inside. The beauty emerges not only from how we reflect that pain but also from how we handle it, i.e. with dignity, compassion, and empathy. With just a few words you captured it perfectly.

Sad that many such human beauties appear to be awaiting stormy weather.
Maybe they get hurt too young.

The beauty in pain
dusk arising said:

Emotional pain can be a great teacher for us. Well that has been my experience. However, as can be seen in some younger poets on mps, pain can distort one\'s outlook and take one to dark places where entrapment temps lurkingly.

Great thought provoking writing.

A fine write Alta. Now I thought you meant my singing, cos there may bb beauty in my melodious tones. But there sure is pain, as it sounds to the ears as two cats fighting. So they say! heehee.

I\'m on my way.......! heehee. Get some of Deb\'s music out. Very un-cultured there, calling him Debs. Should I called Beethoven \'Beet\'?
Wish I would shut up sometimes. lol.

Alta, your short poem really got me thinking. Maybe I am overthinking this, but without the heart it ain\'t love, even though it can be beautiful.
