quirky fun, and the last four lines: layered, in so much depth!
I like how the voice remained the same throughout, hinting at our natural complexities..
a great write, dear poet

Persevere
L. B. Mek said:

life-affirmingly iridescent!
so much wisdom and positivity, thank you for putting this energy out into the world
timely and pointedly worded, so accessible
\'so don’t be so hard on yourself.
Find the space in between.
The one where birds sing &
tides turn,
stars are just light
that doesn’t burn.
The one with delicious
stolen kisses
& jumping high
just to try & reach a blue sky.\'
Amen!

I get what you say. Our foundations may be shakey, it may seem difficult to stand solid but that builds our character, inner strength is our quality. X

You/Me
L. B. Mek said:

\'just to deprive me of
joy, laughter &
a sense of self.

Hoping to make yourself bigger,
you pushed me down
into the cold, cold earth;
watched as your shadows spread.\'
that\'s it exactly, dear Poet!
and that\'s why, we few who survived and now recognise their tell-tale modus operandi, signs
must fight!
to not let their poison, seep-in at any vulnerable opportunity they find...
and they are so deceptive,
like people who want to create pseudo aristocratic levels of ownership, on poetic websites!
only commenting if others reciprocate,
that only read and encourage if others will do it for them, first
that want to create an elite bubble where only a handful get to be recognised...
when Poetry is the last chance Dessert for the lost and crushed in society!
the vulnerable victims who can\'t find an escape anywhere else
and what do this vile vultures do?
they try to corrupt and poison that avenue for hope and a featherweight lifeline for reaching out.. and why?
because only They matter,
and only Their problems need be heard:
as-if, only They\'re worthy of Poetry\'s: mercy?!
(that\'s why we must fight, to keep island\'s of hope like our beloved MPS, beings swallowed-up like all the other cesspools of festering idiocy, staining that word Poetry...)
forgive me, dear Poet
your words just triggered something very close to my heart,
and I know I\'m probably mistaken in my thinking, and any attempt at fighting the majority rule of the herd is futile,
but what can I do: all I can be is myself, for good or bad
(your write was amazing
I\'m so sorry for sabotaging it selfishly)

You/Me
Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose) said:

Such a sad write , .. but very well expressed . Makes me think of darkness making someone feel sad and unhappy .
I can relate to some of your lines , especially these ones

you tried to take away all light,
just to deprive me of
joy, laughter &
a sense of self.β€œ

So many times have I felt sad and without joy and without feeling like I know who I am

Sad
L. B. Mek said:

\'I take all of your sadness
in the palm of my hand
& say it belongs to me now\'..
what more can a loving parent do? but sacrifice themselves for their child\'s - chance, at happiness...
as a child to two selfless immigrant parents,
I read your words and hold back the tears, knowing
they deserve so much more...
All, loving parents do!
thank you, dear Poetess
thank you!

these lines:
\'I want to place my palm
on the trunk of an ancient tree,
throw my arms open wide
& absorb the wild power of the sea.\'
reminded me of one of my older posts
this is a wonderful statement write, an affirmation of self, and a landmark
to propel - forward from,
leap forth, dear poet
fly high!

Speak/Listen
L. B. Mek said:

\'but deeper still, somewhere beyond
the spaces between words.

It unfolds ever so slowly,
sweetly, delicately;
trust takes its time.
Unwinding
like the ribbon of a river
trickling from its mountain source
amassing momentum on its quiet journey.

I give it my deep attention\'..
(ahhhh, true Poet
I for one, do care
for poetry that so warmly nourishes
my poetic needs
and so I thank you, sincerely
for choosing to share)
\'wise words, are the hardest to comprehend
because they\'re the simplest, to be heard
and yet, like all things acquired simply
in our plug-and-play, ease of a warped - modernity
we squander them: far - far, too easily\'

\'out of screen sight;

hauntingly beautiful imagery,

only to waste our lives, ogling nature

Filled with life and unconditional love, this is the poetry of your heart. It resounds within all who have held that fragile creation of birth close and marvelled at life\'s verve. And before you know it... they\'re leaving a part of you to discover life\'s poetry for themselves.
Really felt your words here.
