imbued with such a palpable sense of yearning
an intriguing read, thanks for sharing

the name
L. B. Mek said:

\'To define is a line
that’s paper thin.
Sometimes we walk it straight,
sometimes we will waver.
How strange to meet you at the line\'..
whether in mere fictionalised inspiration
or reality\'s, experienced gratitude
whomever planted: within you
such words, imbued with sincerity
of that realised potential, of-self
deserves
all immense accolades, however
short lived or lasting, their presence in your life;
for they\'ve inspired a dedication and testimony
of poetic reverence
that few of us would dare dream, aspire - to...!
(such a graceful tribute and dedication
and a delectably poetic read
thank you! dear poet)

Imperfect
L. B. Mek said:

\'on the first floor
of my tiny, tin box toy house,
I wonder if the view
is just for me.
If somebody else looked out,
what would they see?\'
\'a curling at the edge
like an antique postcard;
its message long faded.
A hint of black stealing across
the green
summer\'
(I agree as our eyes get older
that sparkly shine of Summer\'s, delight
begins to wane a little, year after year
I fear
still, at least we have covid, to blame
this year, maybe even next
it definitely tainted, last summer;
although, once covid has been
dealt with
what will we have, to blame
for this all-consuming apathetic mood
stifling modernity
and keeping us trapped, in this cyclical
\'age of anxiety\'
by stealing our capacity, to treasure
those simple gifts: in our lives...)
a wonderful concept, and a write
with so much untapped potential
although still, a Brilliant read
as it is
thanks for sharing, dear Poet
and for inspiring my little scribbled reply

On the Breeze
L. B. Mek said:

\'You don’t ask where I have come from.
It is not far
I think
& blink.

You read my thoughts
through a mist even I cannot
usually penetrate
most of the time.

Stopping me in my tracks,
lift the weight from my back;\'..
(and imbued in your Poetry, is Love
worded Transparent
syllable sailing, on that exquisite Breeze
of Anchored trust...)
thank you! for choosing to share, dear Poet

Sleep
L. B. Mek said:

\'Deinfest
the attic, of my comatose consciousness?
Would your inert form
be scraped out;
suffocated, from the noxious gases
or would you permeate ever deeper
the silver lining
that resides: inside...\'
emphatically, profound in wording
a poetic yearning for meaning
questioning, those measuring depths
of our life\'s connections;
between a shared smile
and impassioned saliva mixing
to our bared hearts: without
thoughts - of restraint
what exactly constitutes
our most meaningful, relationships?
between ease of comfort and loyalty
where do our borders
get crossed and smudged
so regrettably, ugly?
why if serendipitous our meeting
is it fortuitous, our parting?
to open opportunity
to our destined, realisation
of curated happenstance
in those imperfectly - perfect, destinations...?
(A great write, keep soaring, dear poet
be not weary of faltering
for, even your landing
will have you perched - higher
than most of us, dare dream!)
a genuine delight, to read your poetic genius
and those inquisitive aspects
of philosophical insight\'s, you\'re gradually
introducing and weaving - seamlessly
into your profound, poetic voice

Translations
L. B. Mek said:

\'to just not admit how far I’ve fallen?
To keep it a sacred secret
& never tell you I want you,\'..
there\'s a symphony to our life\'s landmark moments
of lost-in-translation, gifts
see - when we are so assuredly, certain
we\'ve expressed ourselves comprehensively
we live little wriggling room, to backtrack
and readjust
that\'s why, I gravitate to the melancholic wisdom
in your words, especially
those last few morbidly - sedate, lines
void of Disney\'s fantasy ending, shenanigans
no
this is a poem for us adults
who sip alcohol, like children: gulp-down
their milkshake - sweetness, of blissful ignorance
\'How can I translate your thoughts/words?
We would have to speak the same language first\'..
no need, dear Poet
just sigh in unison and clink glasses, in unity
that\'s enough empathetic communion, to serenade
and regress, those unshed tears mercifully - dry...
(Brilliant!!!
and thanks for inspiring
my little scribbled reply)

\'What am I in your mind?
Something dark, obscure, free,
something to fight;
you against me.
Why do I write love letters never sent?
A message hurled into a void again.
I don’t want an eternity of stars
til they fall & shatter,
burn up & don’t matter;\'
Brilliant!

Life is Elsewhere*
L. B. Mek said:

\'Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost.\'
― Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being..
I think, maybe: Life
is our accumulative, tab
for all the Love
we unearth
from within, and
from those
we surrendered, our heart\'s
for\'
thanks for introducing me
to Milan Kundera, dear poet
this is a wonderful write
jampacked with insightful wisdom
(what a great title)

The Main Drag
L. B. Mek said:

\'I like to roam off-path
in tangled undergrowth;\'..
(that\'s that unchosen, choice
in our Poetic - tumultuous, path
of life)
\'Behind knotted, gouged bark,
clinging fungus
thrives forgotten.
Caught under crowded canopies
unprotected
life is lost/found\'..
Amen!
(surrendered, to survive
and regained, for us to strive
and someday, maybe even: thrive...)
a great, *metaphorical* write
dear poet
(not one, to be read: too - literally, I feel)
