A very powerful write my friend! Reality too often is a bitter pill to swallow. So we take a pill, but never seem to get our fill, because it never solves anything. Very insightful of you!

Such a coincidence that I should read this poem today. Last night I watched a movie about F. Scott Fitzgerald whose literary life closely parallels the situation in your poem. It drives home that substance abuse can hit anyone, no matter how talented or skilled. You have presented this powerfully, but with the pathos it deserves, and a pinch of satire at the end. It\'s a fav!

The rhyming pattern makes this poem flow so beautifully. I love to read aloud to get the full effect, and this one is a gem. Love found, love lost, love remembered. Well done dear poet!

the first time I read these words, I struggled to see where you got the title from .. but then, it dawned on me like some blinding enlightenment .. yep out of the blue it hit me and now I can\'t imagine a more fitting title to head the page these fine words sit firmly upon .. Furthermore, in truth, you have said it like it truly is and sadly so for so many .... this aint funny, but it is better than just bloomin good Paul .. Neville

(as-ever
such a great read, dear Poet
thank you!)
people little realise, forever-after
is the beginning
of every relationship\'s, psychological warfare
and reverse psychology
comes to us, as innate
as breathing, till
you know:
\'next day, she has a word with Sally
and thanks her
takes back, Sally\'s copy of her script
and hands it, back
to Gavin...\'
meanwhile, He
never realised, that was a new
fitted
jumpsuit, she was wearing
\'oh no\' she says in conversation
\'if I told him
you gifted it to me, Mandy
he would be, too jealous
this is for the best, his pride
is ever so delicate...\'
(convoluted, always begins
with a little white lie
and some fun n games..)
lol

tatoo\'s or scars
reality\'s lines
get blurred
in that dim light
of moonless
lust..
\'do unto others
as you...\'
fck it
just try to not shatter, their
sense of worth
as you
traverse life, leaving
broken
heart\'s in your
wake..
have humanity, enough
for that, at least!
(barrel bottom, hope\'s
as all we\'ve got left)
great read, thought you
voiced the poem, well
no judgement
just, insightful observations
a poet\'s voice..
thanks for sharing, dear poet
\'Exploring the no-go zones
Checking the exit
Looking backwards

He tries to show love
But stone hearts
Clothe themselves in armour
Screaming the screams, of
yesteryears\'

A hard read of a crime scene, investigations would see through made up pursuits for dollars, you should stick with blue collars. Well thought out murders will get you put in jail house uniforms, they donā€™t care your heart is torn. What she slept with your best boha? Her last song must have been ā€œgive me some more.ā€

the depth of insight in your poetic pen
is astounding, dear Poet
for yes, in every battlefield
there\'s a devout, individual
\'Praying\'
with every ounce of their pious belief
that their \'Bullet\', is on Target...
.
.
.
\'blood, on hands
Holy Communion, in stomachs
and Zealotry\'s: Wilful justification
for their, collective
heinous crimes, in minds...\'
(I
Pray
there is
Enough
mercy
in the Universe
to forgive
our Collective, Cyclical legacy
of abhorrently, Futile
fear Induced: Inhumanity)

There\'s a great message in your words today. Something which really chimes with me as I remain great pals with the lady who was once my wife. So many turn to loggerheads with an ex but why. If there was so much love and respect there that you married them how can that suddenly disappear. OK awful things can happen to end a marriage but that doesn\'t change the person your ex was (though some things, in rarity would be unforgiveable).

Love matures, just as we do.
