Paul, this is master-class storytelling. Pacing, voice, and irony all in perfect lockstep. The Sergeant’s world is madness wrapped in reason...and that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

You know, I’ve come to the conclusion that the Sergeant isn’t actually in the army at all: the army is in his book. Orders, timetables, even duels… they all just bend around whatever chapter he’s on. The poor Colonel thought he was in charge, but really, he was just another chess piece waiting to get knocked over when the eyes started rolling. And honestly, I don’t even want him to finish that anger management book, because the day he does, the war’s over, one way or another.

Paul, this reads like a short film...tight dialogue, eerie rhythm, and a flawless twist. The echo at the end lands like fate knocking again. Masterful storytelling, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Be glad when this season is over - too bloody weird..

Did however read it to the end with interest, but with puffer fully loaded never felt the necessity to whisper/call/pray \'Take my soul\' - mainly because I haven\'t got one.........

Paul, this one’s a riot with a pulse. The humor bites, the sadness lingers, and by the time Mrs. Jones passes by in the hearse, you’ve somehow made chaos feel tender. Darkly brilliant work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Found this hilarious at times
And I\'m happy with that
No chance of analysing til paralyzing
Liked that you walked through a graveyard though
Been walking around them last couple of days

Your poem, The Mural,\" captures the intricacies of human emotion through a blend of humor, tragedy, and artistic expression, inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences of love and connection.

Understandings and misunderstandings, anger displayed and reserved, a collage of feelings and actions amounting to a painting half erased in this poem of karma where punishment and retribution are part of life. Nicely done

Well said, Paul. Your poem serves to explore the power of storytelling and the thin line between reality and legend, as well as the inherent fears that accompany tales of the unknown. It illustrates how stories can evoke real emotions and consequences, blurring the lines between fiction and reality.

Paul, this hit perfectly…the quiet build, the flicker, the way the story eats its own storyteller. Feels like campfire myth turned nightmare. Loved it. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Good write Paraclete, erm, Paul. lol. Bit of French there from me - well, Greek really. I know about 3 words of Greek, I reckon, so I\'m fluent in it. lol.

This is seduction as ceremony...diamonds not just as adornment, but as souls burning under pressure. You turn glamour into revelation, Paul. Stunning work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

At first read I missed the point and wrote a whole message but then after it dawned on me. The relationship of the sparkle of diamonds in the wolf\'s eyes represents the desire as it looks upon its prey. I\'m just a little slow today. The relationship grows in magnitude as diamonds are often coveted as well so the relationship becomes even more complex. Nicely worded this poem speaks of lust and coveting. Well done

This reads like a gothic echo...two mourners, one presence, grief as inheritance. It’s cinematic in the best sense, and the final reversal lands hard. Haunting work, Paul. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

After reading this poem/story I had to ask are these all spirits or are they beckoning the living into death and the netherworld. Erie and haunting this write is perfect for the season. Very nicely done.

The poem explores the interplay between fate and personal choices, highlighting how individuals navigate their destinies, often influenced by societal expectations and personal desires. It suggests that while we may attempt to escape our fates, we are ultimately bound by them.

I love the theme of this poem. Having selected these examples each with their flaws that like Greek demi gods take them to their destined end. The Achilles heel set in the stars and echoed in each stanza\'s last line. A very lovely poem that poignant in that ongoing debate of freewill vs determinism. I loved it

Paul, this one’s cheeky as hell…irreverent but self-aware enough to pull it off. It’s satire in a pint glass, and the final twist seals it perfectly. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
