Sad Little Puppy

Bella, this took me back to my childhood and I felt like my mother was reading it to me as a bedtime story. When I had finished it dawned on me there was more here than meets the eye. This was a parable and yes what is good for one is not always good for another. Be careful of what you believe from what others tell you. Advice from a stranger can lead to problems. As to the length dear Bella it should never be a worry it is the quality of the work that counts and this was great, thanks for sharing.

Oh a wonderful story and with a good moral too - - thank you dear Bella for sharing its impressive rhyming --- - this child at heart likes every line - in fact I must read it again for when my young family visits so into my list of faves goes this lovely puppy tale.

A lovely story Bella.
I saw two cats in a porch way, maybe waiting to get indoors. They were snuggled up, one partly on top of the other one. They were very sweet!

What a subtle way of providing an angry (sad?) political message, Bella. wish I could do that sometimes instead of my full frontal clod hopping way...but are people listening to the message or the violin? I hope both....

I find Bella, as each day, month, year passes I come to welcome silence more and more....... is that a preparation for something......?

I used to play the violin and I love the minor key but maybe this is because the violine is weeping for me. Silence is the consent by omission and the worst way of condoning. Well done Bella

Wow, this is truly a work of art dear Bella.
Your words never fail to deliver such a heartfelt message, and this one was so sobering.
I loved the violin metaphor, and then again, am unable to seperate the metaphor from the deeper meaning. It\'s so wonderfully tied together.
I feel like the usage of the word \"plaintiff\" is very direct and free from ambiguity.
While the word \"case\" is a double entendre being the literal case of the violin, and also the \"case\" as in the court case.
Kudos to you beloved poet, such a real reflection.

much like your good self it seems, I rarely listen to the news these days without involuntarily wincing .. I also much prefer the language of the violin .. I am glad you posted these words Bella, it helps when one is made aware that they are not the only one tuned into that particular station ... Neville

I have seen the film and listened to the music and played the theme on clarinet, it is a wonderful piece of music that means so much and always brings tears. Wonderful words Bella

The power of your words flooded my heart too as the violin brought with its minor key all the woes and the sadness humanity is challenged with in these very difficult days - -my tears fall so many times yet things still stay the same - - such an apt choice of violin music too.

And the \'news\' does not make it any better. We can be totally confused sometimes - are some things really as bad as reported? Re: that terrible weather you were forecast to have, for example.

simple, says it best dear Poet
oft, we\'re so busy running
we\'ve become deaf
to our own intuitive thoughts
and now we\'re susceptible
to every little lie, or fake news
having lost
our capacity, to heed the veracity
in those wise, silence whispers
our ancestors
spent so long trying to cultivate..
I truly believe, all that we need
we can excavate from within
even that trait, to welcome
stillness and solitude
as a utility in our lives and not necessarily
a guaranteed, gateway to depression
and misery..
we\'re all so much more capable
than we Fear, we are
I think, that\'s the message
I read in your succinct write
such a soothing and empowering message!
thank you

Yes lots I believe react badly to silence and solitude in these chaotically busy days -- I pity those whose New Year continues full of material distractions that stifle so easily the lessons of silence. Such a thought provoking write dear Bella and thank you for this needed reminder.

Bella I look forward to your poems and how they share the common beauty in this world that often goes unnoticed. My favorite episodes and movies by Mr. Bean were just that because he didn\'t speak. He needed no words to convey comedy and make me laugh. laughter is the best ,medicine.

\'Aligning pencils on the desk
Unable to take action\'
so relatable, in our procrastination
all humanity is aligned...
lol
(just the other day
I was reminiscing with someone
about the mr bean specials on tv
and how festive season tv, as a whole
was such a central part of our childhoods
how we would get the tv guides
and circle everything we wanted to watch..
I appreciate progress
but I mourn for those nuggets
that accumulated, to make
our festive seasons that more special
because it took effort to make them, so...
oh well, my grey\'s allows me
to nag a little, but only a little...
(Hope you have a lovely festive season, dear Poet
thanks for all the great reads you\'ve shared)
