I can relate. The last stanza is very blunt and curt, I like it very much because it just seems to complete the poem.

Hi; I like the idea that u have it's sad but also has like a changelling point and that is important. Maybe it will help just closing your eyes and thinking about him and well just write without thinking of rhimes. It's amazing all that u can come out with from within.
Keep on!!! Best

Broken-hearted Musings.....
jerrypat said:
There is more than just a few lines of angst within this poem, Cheeky. Sometimes we find ourselves lost and even as we understand why that isn't enough to dig ourselves out of our sadness.
It seems, from your comment about it that you have been down this road before. Life has many roads and we stumble along looking for that well-lit path and sometimes it just takes time.

Bill is smiling.
It has been years since I have been involved with snow as you wrote about in this excellent sonnet, but I could taste and feel your words and they brought back some wonderful memories.
You have a talented gift of expression, and I am grateful we have met on the Superhighway of the World Wide Web.

I'll Look My Age, I Think
jerrypat said:
Doesn't mean I can't comment on YOUR poetry.
I liked your realism in this piece. Life being fun is not age-influenced. Sometimes the very young and beautiful have so many hangups I actually feel sorry for some if them.
It is all about the attitude whether or not life and you can dance together. Attitude. I think I lost mine tonight during the give and take.

Your poem is brilliant.Thers is a proverb in my mother tongue which says "we should not ask a woman's age and a man's salary'?Infact you look for your age but you have revealed your age
why?
