Ha - yes indeed Kevin most poets give way to ranting etc at senseless weather etc........ a lighthearted read of autumn walks for those of a certain age - be sure to take a hot toddy in your back pocket next time my friend.

Love your last couplet... I knew where you were headed and was ready for something more sentimental, more routine... but that way of saying it is sublime!

Love Birds
L. B. Mek said:

majestic in its sincerity and unvarnished transparency, such lived-in words can only be voiced from one who\'s observant eyes remained wide, in those crucial moments of life - most blink and let us pass-by,
a beautiful tale of hope\'s reward for those armed with unfailing faith,
liked the relaxed style and timeline details to help anchor the flow and rhythm of your stanzas
wonderful, thanks for sharing

Adonais is Fallen

To lose your father at such a young age is tragedy for sure, but your tribute says you have not forgotten. Perhaps your skill for writing was an inherited gene?
A very moving poem that brings together a lost loved one and the written words of a son to show how poetry can connect with people\'s emotions. - Phil A.

Such a well constructed tribute Kevin to a much-missed father and which no doubt will be treasured by family and of course by readers here .........written with memory\'s honest regrets this classic piece of work.

A true romance if ever there was one. Sad how our immaturity can ruin such wonderful gifts life brings to us, for you both are truly exceptionally fortunate to have had the opportunity to resurrect a romance and consecrate it in marriage and family. No wonder many of your posts radiate the closeness of you two.

Good, enjoyable read and all the more so because it is both true and a part of you, the writer\'s very being.
