I love this! Great descriptive write. Paints a vivid pic of the place. I\'ll join you there and we\'ll \"grab a pint\" . Is that the phrase? Good rhythmic flow, natural feeling rhymes. Great write, great post!

Blue-eyed Bolla,

An exquisite poem gushing with love! So romantic! It does resonate of the teen years...
walking hand in hand like the boy and girl “from yesterday” reminiscing of the past while enjoying the present! True love does conquer all...
“One breath, one soul, one heart!”
May you and Lorraine enjoy and love each for the rest of your lives!

I totally enjoyed the read and the pic! Clever idea of then and now...a very handsome couple indeed! Blessings!

A bit of history. I like that!
I’m learning more and more about the UK because many of the writers who post on this site are from the UK! Great!

Enjoy the game!

Blue-eyed Bolla,

No advice from me here!

You’ve done it!
You’ve followed your own advice in reference to being so happy now with your Dearest, darling...(I love the pic)...
“I will try to reflect this more in my poetry”...
AND YOU HAVE!

I enjoyed reading the entire poem. I especially like the last stanza! Bravo 👏🏻

Blue-eyed Bolla,

Your ability to write poems is phenomenal!

So...

Belt it out...
and then let it go!

When I look at your pic,
all I see is happiness!
I see two people in love.
Two people who have
finally found each other
again and will be spending
the rest of their lives together!
Let that be your focal point.
That is all that matters now!
Live in the now.
The past is no longer...
the future you don’t know...
the present is now for you and Lorraine to live and enjoy!

Laura🌻 said:

Blue-eyed Bolla,

Such a beautiful and romantic poem!
I understood its meaning when I first read it; but, I keep reading it over and over because I love it so much! It reads like a romantic novel; however, the pièce de résistance is that it is a true story!

May the love for each other continue to flourish day after day!

A great pic of the two of you!

Really refreshing to read such a well penned piece. All to often the desire for simple rhyme detracts from a tales intent but here you show you truly master the art.
A very sad tale you impart and include a warning.
I really admire your prowess in maintaining the integrity and depth of feeling within this format.

A super write!✍🏻

Let your poems flow because I love to read them; especially the ones about the return of a lost love! Not many of us have the opportunity to reclaim a lost love. Blessed are the ones who have!
