I can say no. But, I would love to learn more. I appreciate your teaching and need to confess that I\'m a little child learning from the subject. Can you teach us more?

Sorry, did not mean to divert from the beauty of which you speak. Hugs

Really good poem. Yes, I love american history, as I should, I suppose. Hopefully we won\'t have to endure this for long. Yes 9/11 was truly awful, but in the oddest way ever we came together as americans and it\'s something we\'ll never forget. Thanks for writing about the 4th when no one else did! Hugs-Christina

As a planet we are definitely not green enough and that is evident in global warming. Great poem for today! But like you said in a response it\'s up to each individual to make a contribution to save the planet! Doing what I can. Again, great write! Hugs, Christina

Goldie and I was alive in 2100 million BC. We\'re both millions of years old, so we say! Well, we was both there in 1066 at Hastings. lol.
Oh vanity! I only do this so no one will guess my real age! heehee.
But - if we all did nothing, nothing at all would change for the better. A fine write B.

Your poem was awesome! Loved the rhyme and rhythm. Simply stunning! Yes in-law has an expansive garden that doesn\'t have everything you listed but does have my requirement--lily of the valley and a lilac bush. And the staples like roses and tulips and herbs. Wonderful poem today! hugs--Christina

Yes an old folk song Country Gardens which was orchestrated by Percy Grainger. My own garden is more formal but has many visitors when we open it to the public each year in aid of charity - mind you I also open my studio so its a double whammy for me. love the poem and there are so many more flowers you could write another one.

A fabulous, funny parody on the original song. A great way to start my day. A couple of years ago I wrote a parody on this song for a sketch I had written ( I write comedy - poetry is new for me!)and like yours, there was, amongst the humour - an underlying message. This is a great way to raise awareness of many of the world\'s current troubles. Well done.
Ps: I do have a lovely English garden- trouble is, it rains a lot.

Nice written and remembrance of our 4th of July. I\'m with my mates. Not jumping with happiness. Regardless, we had such a beautiful day here in Florida that me and my people were amazed.
I\'m from Brazil and Brazilian people used to say that God is Brazilian but it came to my mind yesterday that given a blessed day like we had I\'m beginning to think that God is American.

Acrostics are hard thanks for putting one up! I\'m glad you kept yourself to a specific pattern ,and followed it precisely. Welcome honorary American to true freedom. After all the Brit\'s haven\'t really ever been rebels like us... And as we all know rebellion is the definition of freedom right?

A fine write B. We had an American boss, and 4th July was an \'event\' at work with tea and cakes, etc. Even if some staff groaned and put up with it, smiling like Cheshire cats throughout the day!

Nice theme for your set of tanka. Yes it is true, we all must do our part, everywhere across the world. I recycle where I live. It\'s sad about paper getting chucked and not recycled as much as it is--contributing to deforestation. And we HAVE to cut down on how much we rely on our cars and ride our bikes or take public transportation if you can. Very insightful as always! Hugs-Christina
