Your skill as a poet shine in this particular post .. and it seems my reviewing predecessors have emphasised many of the positives that I might have listed .. however, there is no point in just repeating these for the sake of it so I will just add ... although what is broken my appear beyond repair .. given time, the means and the will, then some things can be fixed and become not necessarily more whole, but even more beautiful and complete .. take for example kintsugi .. (I have met and known quite a few individuals over a good many years, who I consider fine examples of this kind of recovery) .. There now, having got that off my chest, I just need to congratulate you on this fine ink you have laid down here for us to enjoy .. Neville ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ‘

This poem expresses resignation and acceptance of giving up on fixing things when they are foo far broken. The poet in this write feels they have reached this point and is looking forward to the end. Well written and worded it speaks with good rhyme and meter. Nicely done my friend

am completely in sync with your thoughts - the master needs to be humble when imparting knowledge - but these days what you have portrayed seems to be more in vogue, unfortunately

Friendship, this one glows from within. โ€œTomorrow is a hazy shoreโ€ and โ€œhold it and praise itโ€”hold it hereโ€...those two lines mirror the heart of it: gratitude alive in the now. A gentle masterpiece, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Time waits for no man or woman, and regrets maybe few.
I think we\'re all guilty of not saying the words, and I don\'t doubt time has run out for plenty who wished they had.
So definitely a great lesson for people before the sands run out.

A fine write F, but my (daft) problem is that I can never find \'tomorrow\'. When it gets here, it\'s always \'today\' Hmmm. Heehee.

A beautiful poem of recognition and gratitude for those things and relationships we have at the moment. Time waits for no man and we have no idea what tomorrow holds. A word unsaid is as good as dead. Too late tomorrow when time has past and the opportunity lost. A wonderful poem of seize the moment and let those that are important know how one feels. Very nicely done in good meter and great rhyme it flows.

Tristan Robert Lange said:

Reading this, I think of the times Iโ€™ve had to forgive without apology...and how freeing that can still be. You capture that tension...pain and peace sharing the same breath. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ› Wise and profoundly powerful write, dearest Friendship!

Paul Bell said:

They say that, don\'t they. You forgive, it heals the heart.
I find it more cathartic to never forgive the ones that wrong me, and find even more pleasure seeking revenge.
I can see me ruling the world soon.

Beautifully rhymed and worded this poem sets the foundation for a journey of letting go. It has very good meter that leads the reader on and where it ends it seems a beginning to another poem to carry the trip onward to a better place where there is no malice. Very nicely done.

The Price of Instruction.
Tristan Robert Lange said:

My friend, this piece holds power in its poise. You dissect pride and false wisdom without ever raising your voice. Powerful restraint. That closing couplet could hang on a wall...timeless truth, beautifully told. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Tristan Robert Lange said:

My friend, this glows with mystic reverence. The witch in the fire feels less apparition than archetype...natureโ€™s spirit made visible. You captured that wonder with true grace. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

A huge difference between teaching and preaching, controlling and ordering. Teaching is an incredibly hard job to get right but a very easy job to get wrong. Loved the last two lines, enjoyed the read

The Price of Instruction.
arqios said:

This is close and deeply resonant to me. It really nails the difference between knowledge and wisdom. I like how it shows that instruction delivered with arrogance can wound more than it helps! The final couplet especially drives home that without kindness, teaching collapses into pride. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™

Paul Bell said:

Yes, you might be a teacher, but can you teach.
I can recall only one teacher out of about twenty who could make a subject interesting enough to learn, the rest just went through the motions.
Sad reality in education here and by the sounds of it the states too.

A feeling strongly expressed in this poem. It feels hurt and injured by a rude style. The feeling is well expressed and the rhyme is good. The story flows well in this poem of pain.
