Termination of a Promise
Tristan Robert Lange said:

This resonated deeply. Thereโ€™s a particular hurt in realizing a promise was never mutual, and you articulate that reckoning without softening it or turning away. Honest and grounding, dearest Friendship. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

I relate to this more than Iโ€™d like to admit. The way doubt starts echoing in someone elseโ€™s voice, then becomes your ownโ€ฆitโ€™s painfully familiar. You put words to that experience with clarity and restraint. Thank you for this, my dear friend. Your poems make me, and I am sure many others, feel seen. And, conversely, I see you. It\'s a beautiful thing...being seen. โ˜บ๏ธ ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

A dagger through the heart from one you trusted.
I suppose from biblical times till today, a broken trust is devastating in every way.
You can see why dreams get shattered.

A poem of complete heartbreak and devastation from betrayal. Here it seems that the boat is going down with the anchor, so sad. So raw and heartfelt it is most well expressed.

Tristan Robert Lange said:

Friendship, this is heavy in a quiet, unflinching that image of the heart as a fortress really stays with me. It suggests protection and isolation at the same time, and that tension carries the poem forward with a steady sadness. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Paul Bell said:

I think when you\'ve loved one person, it\'s then hard to love another.
Plus, there comes a time when you can\'t be bothered to part with love for another.
Keep the love for yourself, sometimes it\'s all you need.

A beautiful poem in its sadness. It seems to reflect upon a fortress built to protect but instead isolates. Inside a building of stone safe but sheltered in darkness where nothing can grow. There is pain in this poem and sadness. Nicely written it speaks out for a need of self love. A fave

A Friend

A best friend can be closer than family, and definitely cheaper than a therapist.
Strangely enough, most best friends you meet in school, and it continues through life.

Wonderful job, Friendship. That image of the lighthouse keeping the light on rather than blazing really stays with me. It reframes presence as faithfulness, not spectacle. Beautifully handled, dearest friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

This is a touching and heartfelt poem of what one part of a friend is. It is so nicely written and feels so honest a realization that there is someone out there that does care about us. Very nicely done

Elegy for the Empty Mirror
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Friendship, this is scathing in a quiet, controlled way. It doesnโ€™t rageโ€ฆit exposes. The restraint gives it authority, and the moral clarity lands hard without ever posturing. Well done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Friendship, this made me grin and shiver at the same time. Itโ€™s affectionate, dramatic, and perfectly tuned to that Floridian sense of betrayal when the temperature dares dip. I loved being carried along by it. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Apology in the Language of Stars
Thomas W Case said:

This carries real remorseโ€”the kind that comes after the dust settles and you finally see what you broke.
Tender, earnest, and human; the apology lands because it doesnโ€™t dodge its own guilt.

A Father\'s Love
Dan Williams said:

I wish I could have written this. My own Dad was a giant of honesty and hard work, my Mother was gone before my ninth birthday. But what really resonates is how my Daughter\'s Mother abandoned us and left me to try to be the Father that mine was. Wendy has been mu true light and we shared the closeness you speak of, carrying us both. Thank you for putting it to verse. Just brilliant.

Apology in the Language of Stars
Paul Bell said:

One should give this to Trump, who for some reason can\'t discern what day of the week it is.
We all live in denial at some point, and the words I was wrong don\'t seem to leave the mouth freely.
So when we actually do get down and apologise, it may feel a bit strained, but we\'ve acknowledged the fact at least.
Did you notice how hard that was just to write, you can see why people don\'t apologise that often?

Apology in the Language of Stars
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Dearest Friendship, that image of tracing a name in constellations really struck me. It turns regret into something watchful and enduring, rather than fleeting guilt. The metaphor holds the apology steady instead of letting it collapse into self-punishment. Beautifully done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ
