Thoughts & Words (a sonnet)
Kurt Philip Behm said:

I love it. It inspired this ... (Hope you don't mind)

Thoughts ignite and feelings stir
Words simmering still to warm
Unspoken sparks left in the night
Kindling a pyre still to burn

Delphian in its natural form
The smoke a treacherous friend
The ink to inflame, as lies cremate
The mind, a forest on fire

Their heat can destroy the human soul
But of this one thing be sure
One thought set free from a frozen dawn,
—burns intrepid in the poets hand

The verse now stacked and dried of doubt
Its ignition up to you
As unlit it waits for your next breath
To burn the spoken air

Diamante poem Urayoán Mountain
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

EXCELLENTE ROBERTO - I love poems with physical shape. You have also used a "word pattern" 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 to create the diamond ! The content of the poem also has diamond quality ~ perfection. Thanks for sharing ~ TU AMIGO ~ BRIAN

Just great composition and feeling. My favorite line is 'hidden in the dark night with tears in their leaves."

Great imagery!

To the moon
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

MOTHER EARTH ~ And Sister Moon work in perfect harmony. The Moon id so so near the Earth (only 0.25M miles) and I believe this gibes them a perfect symbiosis. Mother Earth of course is the only Living Planet and her job as GHIA is maintaining her equilibroum to provide a home for US and all the Flora & Fauna. It is in essence a role reversal of Mother & Daughter because the Moon is so so important in her role to maintain the tides and provide light at night and her influence on all our life cycles. So perhaps one reason the Moon is lonely is because she is looking after he Mum (who is 4.54 billion years old) and no one is looking after the Moon. Buzz Aldrin is a great Moonophile ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

GRACIAS ROBERTO ~ Por dos mas LUNES (That' American haiku not Spanish MOONS !) Expressing your eternal love for your Spouse in 13 syllables is masterly. The W Willow is my fave. and again you condense its majestic beauty into a single LUNE. I have a new FUSION this week ~ MY FAVORITE FRUIT ~ Thanks for your RR Stanza ! BRIAN

HOLA ROBERTO ! You are getting romantic in your old age ! I like the IDEA of US Haiku being called LUNES we would always read that a MOON or "hear it" as LOON = MAD as in LUNATIC ! I will write some HAIKU about the USA and call them LUNES just to get some Street Cred in the BRONX & HARLEM ~ Hasta Luego # BRIAN

Nature
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

GRACIAS ROBERTO ~ An excellent picture of "Nature red in tooth and claw". Your poem has a perfect structure of rhyme and rhythm (I'm a performance poet) as befits the awesome subject of actually seeing natures intricate Food Chains and Food Webs at work. With Nature nothing is left to chance. In London's Financial Quarter on can observe Human Vultures at work in oak paneled offices while beggers are dying outside on the street huddled in thin blankets at night in the Winter. The rich will always pick on the bones of the poor. For God's sake please don't elect DONALD TRUMP as President ! Thanks for sharing BRIAN

BRIAN & ANGELA said:

HOLA ROBERTO ~ The English Lake District is rated as one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I love the symbiosis of Lake and Mountains ~ especially when they are on a human scale. No Lake longer than 12 miles and no Mountain higher than 3250 feet. All radiating out from Grasmere like spokes on a wheel. Thanks for posting a lovely tranquil poem which stirred my own memories ~ BRIAN.
