Memories of you
Kurt Philip Behm said:

Speaking of minds failing ... I wrote this today...

Darkness All I See

What’s left of my remembrance,
now all that stokes the fire

What embered in the springtime,
the winter does conspire

To douse not once but then again,
that spark which set me free

My wood all burnt with forest bare,
—and darkness all I see

Memories of you
Kurt Philip Behm said:

Just beautiful—really—beginning to end, but I particularly like these lines ......

"as that indelibly edged memory,
that eternity on end I will remember
as my body withers and my mind fails,
I bear witness to your beauty."

you have a talent for words, making one feel and see what you are writing. The last four lines tugged at my heartstrings. Loved it!

Thanks for caring RR ~ a dreadful carnage. PULSE an LGBT Nightclub in Orlando. Normal Young People ~ mainly Hispanic ~ gunned down without mercy by OMAR MATTEEN. We must pray for the Families of the dead and for the injured. Thanks for a beautiful poem as homage to a very very sad occurrence. Your BRIAN

Gracias RR ~ Lovely poem and lovely tribute to your wife. It is interesting how we associate specific Ladies with specific flowers. My current GF has a passion for pink ROSES she is very feminine and a developing pink rosebud always reminds me of her. She is only 27 so she is not yet full blown ! Thanks for sharing BRIAN

Thank you RR ~ I love the Greek Alphabet it is so evocative. I had a classical education so was able to transliterate ! It is a walk on the wild side ~ love turtles ~ love the slow flow of the poem ! S1. Close encounter of the turtle kind. S2. Noted the gorgeousness of its brown & yellow shell suit. S3. You worried about it crossing the road ~ turtles are slow ! S4. It walked anyway ~ turtle free spirit ! S5. You scared it with your size but (like you) it was determined to experience life. The moral is: In order to experience the other side you must first be prepared to cross the bridge ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

Very nice. You 'might' want to change 'seeing' to 'seen' in the next to last line. You made me feel like I was on the walk with you. Great words!

Gracias RR ~ A beautiful tone poem ~ In my minds eye I saw every shimmering shade as the Sun sank slowly in the west. There are thousands of sunsets (and sunrises) every day and every one is very different. Yours BRIAN

I can relate, all too well. There is a binder, in existence, full of pieces I wrote, for the one I love, and I question if it has ever meant a thing to him.

Beautifully portrayed, fellow poet.

Her Beauty
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

GRACIAS RR ~ "Whosoever findeth a Wife ~ findeth a very good thing !" An excellent and love filled tribute to your lovely wife ! I wrote a poem about The Scent of a Woman so my favourite stanza is: The beauty of her entrapping body essence ~ Awakens my senses to her marvelous presence ~ Hence her body fragrance is so splendid ~ I'm delirious can't explain it ! Thanks for sharing ~ RR she sure stirred your muse ! Yours BRIAN
