Great poem! I can\'t stand those aisle blockers. Or the person that waited till the end of their sale to get out their wallet and write a check as slow as possible, even though they are just scanned and handed back. Get a debit card already! Thats just one example. Great job!

I know this only too well. The worst offenders are those who while waiting in the queue fail to get themselves ready - The result: as the goods come through checkout they are still fighting to open their bag, then are slow loading up, then when told how much to pay start looking for their purse and when they do take forever counting out change, and then suddenly remember they may (just may) have some vouchers somewhere if only they can remember where they are and then start up a conversation with the cashier and then get really angry when you show signs of impatience and then block up the exit with their trolley whilst having a conversation with another incoming individual of like mind. Great poem by the way !!!!

Good write, I have written a few about my views of people in supermarkets. They are found in the U.K. as well. Politeness seems to be dying in our world.

Thanks for caring HONEY ~ CARPE DIEM (seize the day) If we don\'\'t grasp our chances ~ opportunity never knocks twice ~ I should know. You must appreciate that the USA is 40 times bigger than the UK and we would think twice if travelling more than 50 miles for a concert and then we would want to stay overnight ! Americans I know will take two internal flights for a GIG ! So HONEY get off your butt and GO GO GO ! Transatlantic Hugs ~ BRIAN. Please check my latest poem ~ Thanks B !

Good write, there are so many people out there whose way of life is to con them out of money, politicians come to my mind.

Nice story, nice rhyme. Honesty is the best policy, believed by so few, dishonored by so many.
\"Smiling Jack,\" I think I\'ve met this guy or someone just like him. \"Not to be trusted,\" written all over their faces. As phony as their gems. But you have a gem here, in your poem.
Enjoyed reading it. - Phil A.

Absolutely wonderful write! I love hummingbirds too. But my favorite is the cardinal! Some people look at butterflies as a sign from heaven but I look at cardinals as such. So beautiful!

A beautiful ODE Honey reminding me of all the wonderful Birds I see on my visits to what is still God\'s Own Country (despite TRUMP !). I\'m giving a talk on KENTUCKY (as an example of a typical American State) entitled KENTUCKY ~ WHAT A STATE TO BE IN ! I endorse the idea that every American State has a State Bird and a State Tree for it to sit in ! In the case of Kentucky it is a CARDINAL ~ 1926 (very popular) perching in a TULIP POPLAR ~ 1994 ~ It had to wait a long time to find a tree. Thanks for sharing ~ Hugs BRIAN

Good write, we feed the birds in our garden and as we go into spring I know that it will cost us a fortune as it did last year but the joy we, and obviously you, get from watching the birds is priceless.

Obviously we have Goldfinches in our garden as one of the visitors, one day a few years ago there were forty of them in the garden, i felt so honoured.
