Good observation and so true, people just do not dress up nowadays, myself included since I retired. My exception though is going out in the evening or going to Church when I dress appropriately.

Thanks for your observarions HONEY ~ When one watches old films of the Victorian & Edwardian period (and films set in that period) Ladies dressed and behaved with decorum. I guess the rot set in in the 20\'s and the Jazz Age and really went to the wall after WW2 (1939 ~ 45) and the decline has continued ever since. Ladies like to be topless in inappropriate places (like on Cruise Ships) and even attend Church dressed for the GYM ! I prefer LADIES to dress feminine and with decorum ~ alas they are now a rare bred. Thanks for scaring ~ HUGS BRIAN

And .... oohh I dunno. I was about to look down on someone in jeans, then they told me they were a millionaire. So I said \' Nice pair of jeans\'. See me flatter and grovel there?! heehee. (fictional story).

Good write lol. With church, it may depend what sort of group it is - whether Sunday best, or jeans and T-shirt, or anything in between!

Over here we had a spate of women going to the supermarket in their onesies and slippers. There was a backlash against that but jogging pants are often the norm I am afraid. Great lines as usual. Phil.G

Oh if only - the high streets are full of slobbily dressed individuals these days with no sense of pride in appearance - and I love the poem.

Very good poem! It is a rewarding feeling to help others and hopefully we\'re not just doing it on the holidays! But at home it is great when you do something \"just because\".

Must admit I do get a kick when I get a rewarding smile having done a favour even if it\'s standing to one side to allow someone to pass. This is spot on as always.

Choices are not easy BUT are only for the future and once made we have to accept them. I never look back on choices made - what has been has been. Good stuff WBL.

The ultimate choice \"Choose you this day whom you will serve GOD or SATAN ? Well I\'m a regular flier mainly throughout Europe but little experience of American airports. There was time when it was a pleasure to fly - people would actually take pride in dressing up and sashay up and down the waiting areas but now? With fashion featuring in nearly every magazine and high street shops fighting for custom it just amazes me that people all look so scruffy and seem to rejoice in it. Then there\'s airport food - tacky, fat inducing fast food which I wouldn\'t serve a dog. Rant over - err just enjoy the experience.

Very strong and moving poem. Your courage shines through in writing these words. With that strength of character I am sure that you will be able to come out of this and move forward with a new piece of armour over the Achilles Heel.
