Great writing. Made me reflect on my childhood and realize just how enjoyable that time period was. Now with my own daughter soon to be born I hope to reccconect with those days with her.

Honestly this is really good. Perfect stanzas, fantastic beat, smooth rhyme and your vocabulary is executed perfectly.
I really enjoyed the way you captured that nostalgic feeling of childhood.

exceptionally nsync with what I recollect about mine childhood playtime, particularly those prepubescent summer days, when thyself and sisters, more so the youngest versus oldest found me inebriated with unbounded obliviousness, while prancing as an animal of choice such as ponying up antics of a horse.

tell me more about your magical moments merrily mutating from one (in)animate creature and another.

Reads like happy memories of childhood. Sadly several poets on MPS were not so fortuneate as innocent children.

Fantastic stuff! I did love playing around with my older sister, although I was made to think it was not right! Some adults loose that child light or never got given the right.

Keep up the write

A fine write Zaynab, of happy days! We can be child-like though, while being adults.

Not sure how you did it, but as soon as I started looking at it, a woman\'s voice started reciting/singing the whole poem.

Interesting. :-)

O\' human heart
Reivax Camlost said:

It\'s been a fair while since this was written, but I do recall you once asking me to comment on your most recent poem, and I never did; by my calculations this was the poem that was written most recently at that time. And it\'s quite a wonderful piece; I especially appreciate the notes of assonance and dissonance that you wove together between the lines. You preserve the lyrical quality of the poem when read aloud through cleverly arranging the meter and the rhymescheme to act continuously between transitions—a delightful stroke. The subject matter also really resonates, the nature of the heart troubles me often; how we can hold both love and hatred, violence and beauty, all seemingly equally sublime in nature or else equally base when considered against the weight of whatever things we hold as truly pure or good. To resolve that question with a return to the simple intuitions of humanity in such a noble fashion, that\'s admirable, I think.

A work of emotional ultraviolet, methinks. Bright; exciting. It glows. Alternatively witty and deep, this one doesn\'t compromise feeling or genuineness for literary appeal, but then, it doesn\'t really need to.

Hello dear wordsmith.
I enjoy how you include at least one of the colours in each stanza. However I think that you have missed out two. Your piece is silver and gold.

Kind regards to you and your rich culture, Alan
