Michael,

UN BEL DIPINTO!

A beautiful watercolour!
I know exactly where that is! It’s not too far from where I lived for a few years!
We can sit at one of those tables and enjoy il VINO, le OLIVE, and il FORMAGGIO! If my dad were with us, he would also like some PANE RUSTICO!

The poem is delightful!
The simplicity of yesteryear!

Open doors = open invitation
Straw mattress = simplicity
Room with open door, keep nothing out, and thus your world is wherever you are.

I have not really understood Haiku, and maybe you can enlighten me.

BUON GIORNO UNCLE MICHAEL : ANGELA here (9:30 pm Another day of Rest & Religion safely passed !) BRIAN & I love ITALY and you have captured her perfect Geometry and Angularity !
When I read your HAIKU my first impression was that it was a truncated tribute to the 50th Anniversay of the greatest leap in the History of Mankind ! The manned landing on the Moon by the forever HEROS Aldrin - Armstrong - Collins. Think about it !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS

That painting is sublime - it is amazing what wonders can be conceived from a small room.

GOOD EVENING MIKE ~ Brian here burning the Midnight Oil trying to read ~ perchance to comment ~ on todays MPS Poetry ! I wrote a while ago about ALIGATORS ! But Ive never seen a Poem by your Goodself saying you had seen Your first ALIGATOR of the season in a Cotswold Pond ! AND WHY ? Because its not ALIGATOR COUNTRY and one might go 100 years or more and not see ONE ! The same is true of VELOCOPEDES ! You are not in BICYCLE COUNTRY ! Im not too far from CAMBRIDGE and in May I went to visit some Friends at the University and during the course of the day I saw hundreds of BIKES some static and chained to railings and some actually being PEDDALED by both M & F of the species. Mainly YOUNG (Students) but some Grey & White haired ! The % of Poeple who cycle (at last once per month) in CAMBRIDGE (58) ~ OXFORD (33) NORTHAMPTON (17) LONDON (16 !) LIVERPOOL (11) IN the UK in 2013 there were 3.3 million bicycles sold (mainly for children) and only 2.2 million cars ! Bicycles rule OK !

Seek UNCLE MIKE and YOU will FIND
Homo Bicyclo Locomotus Cantab !
Blessings to You & Yours
Yours as always BRIAN (Green Cyclist !) 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Bikers can be a right pain in the proverbial. When any occasionally stop at a red traffic light I feel like cheering - not that I have seen it happen in the last millennia.

Michael,

I love the painting!
I totally agree with your poem’s slogans! BIKE LANES...a controversial issue in my Aunt’s community among the residents! Those that want them are winning the battle!

I reckon you have got it just about right with this post Michael.. at least as far as my previous old village hall and committee were concerned... I think there must be an instruction manual that they all share...... A cracking scribble up there too.. I\'m sure that is not the correct term for this artistic form but know you will understand what I mean....... Neville

THANKS UNCLE MIKE : ANGELA here : Love the POGUES and all things CHRISTMAS. As you know December 25 was NOT the actual Date of the Incarnation but it was an agreed *Date of Convenience* set by the Catholic Church (POPE Julius) in the 4th Century AD. people whose Birthday falls on 25th December are allowed to celebrate their BIRTHDAY on 25th JULY ! I love CHRISTMAS and the all Year Round Christmas Shops in GERMANY : Awesome ! Because Brian attends an Evangelical Church they dont follow the Strict Church Callender and can sing Carols all through the Year ~ AMEN !
Love the PICTURE and the mention of (the symbiosis) BEES & FLOWERS ! It is another reminder of the very complex FOOD CHAINS & FOOD WEBS which keeps Planet Earth as a Living Planet ! I have milk with MANUKA (NZ) HONEY every night ! Its 10am (Thursday) and my first Clinic is 11pm so I must sign off & get off to WORK !

Blessings & Peace & Love to You & Yours
