Goodness, what\'s gotten into all the poet-posters today? Every poem I have opened is about sex. I guess it\'s not a bad thing. (-:

what technique did you use on your picture Michael?
it feels, somewhat pixelated
or
is it my screen, distorting it..
just love your range of art
subtlety, at its most
accessibly relatable..
I never feel a sense of pretentiousness
or elitism, just
a beautiful questing for artistry\'s
whimsical dexterity

roses are red
your eyes show atlantis
come closer my dear
says the preying mantice

roses are red
your eyes are like pissholes
get into the kitchen
and make me some rissoles

roses are red
your eyes are dissimilar
one looks like hitler
the other like himmler

roses are red
your eyes are so grey
i\'m wasting my time
you told me youre gay

roses are red
your eyes are so bright
i hope they\'ll look sated
later tonight

Number 2 - did any hit the fan? Poor chap if it did - a football fan, for example!
Number 3 - is that Teddy Berles?

A flatulent poet called Bart
had a very theatrical part
when the curtain was raised
his behaviour was crazed
which gave the front row quite a start

an electricians mate called Izzy
had a bossman who kept him quite busy
when wiring a lamp
he was attaked by a cramp
there was a flash and his hair went all frizzy

an artificial insemnator from birmingham
upset his fine herd whilst he\'s worming-\'em
being chased round the field
decreased their milk yield
and ruined his chance of squirtin sperm in-\'em

a pussy cat breeder from slough
crossed a tomcat with a brown cow
it had claws big a horns
gives milk when it yawns
he didn\'t hang around to hear it mee-ow

I love the opportunity to make these up... keep \'em coming

Michael,

This latin phrase comes to mind, “Suum cuique.” As a child, I believed what I was taught. As an adult, I believe in myself.

Thank you for sharing, my dear Poet.

let them be, my friend

those who preach peace do not have peace
those who preach peace do not have love

nothing kills, their intrusively

let them, be
for this merely, their zealotry\'s
death cries

a few centuries ago, already...
let them be
just watch-on, and pity their plight
while praying
there\'s enough mercy left, in our Universe
to forgive, their wilful InHumanity

our Beautiful language
merely, because they tainted it
by claiming it as theirs)

You got my vote, Michael:

However, I\'ve never knocked the religious here, in fact I\'ve had very respectful conversations with a couple - they have a right to their faith if that\'s what it takes to lead a full useful life - provided they don\'t attempt to control anyone else\'s freedom.

This chap Hugh has a lot going for him.

A touchy subject this religious stuff. As you well know i never get involved in discussing it!

Oh I\'ve tried but a remarkable deafness seems to overtake the preacher types.

I do particularly like (3).
