MERCI MICHAEL ~I love all 3D art especially that which seeks to mirror nature ! The best one in my opinion is any model of the DNA double helix. Rosalind Franklin (who did the X-ray crystallographic on DNA) said ~ when she saw Crick & Watson\'s structure (molecular model) \"It is too too beautiful ~ not to be correct !\" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ! We made a model from LEGO which had the advantage that the two anti-parallel helical chains were easily separated for replication and also the formation of messenger RNA which is the blueprint to synthesise PROTEIN. There is more Art in Science than this World dreams of ! DISCUSS ~ BRIAN

Humor and sculpting, Wow! Funny stuff that, the jokes not the sculptures. And you made it into a poem as well. Well, I enjoyed a laugh and for that I am grateful. Nice work. - Phil A.

Heehee. Good write and pic. My very old joke is \'Why is abbreviation such a long word?\' People have given up laughing at it. Well, I might only know about 3 jokes, and they\'ve heard it 100 times! lol.

Terrific poem, great use of historic and modern comparison. Hand-wound clock, really? Wow! Is this the original station or has it been expanded over time? Loved the poem. - Phil A.

Well done today MICHAEL ~ I consider that the Painting & the Poem should always be symbiotic and you really do deserve a star today ! I did some research at Leicester University a fine City and still a fine Footy Team ! Love the poem and your use of half-rhyme ~ a lost art ~ especially when combined with disciplined meter ! Please check my RISPETTO ~ BRIAN

What a fine picture Michael. Forgive me for not paying sufficient attention previously - I hadn\'t realised you were illustrating as well as writing.

THE UNKNOWN MAN
MendedFences27 said:

Rumor has it that this is a terrific poem for one who can barely scribble. Seriously, and it is a serious piece, also truthful and exposing a common blight. Why do people persist in rumor-mongering? My American dictionary describes \"leant\" as a British word, but my spell check has never advanced beyond the sixth grade. A great poem and some very entangled scribbling. Loved it. - Phil A.
