A beautiful scene, to me, a summer\'s day of bright light and warmth, a small brook, and a secluded concert for just one, the singer. Very descriptive write lot\'s of great phrasing, \"springtime\'s stretching growth, a snug and sheltered spot, echoes deep in cavities,\" Just a wonderful poem. - Phil A.

Thanks again MICHAEL for another very attractive P & P ! I love abstract poetry and especially if the TITLE is just \"68\" or another number (much better than UNTITLED !). To relate to the poem I see the abstract as the Young Lady meditating at the fluid Crossroads of Life and trusting her next direction will choose itself ! I love her sense of abandonment to life suggested in the poem ~ meditating before moving on ~ beautiful ! Thanks for my morning enigma from you pen & pallet ~ Yours BRIAN

Super write with great imagery.

Another abstract into which I am drawn. Our daughters an artist and in our talks about art she and I talk about the meaning of abstract art and I find I really examine it and nearly always get drawn into it.

Sometimes we choose to not see things as they are, and sometimes we wish not to be seen. Colorfully expressed.,uniquely formed, with accompanying painting. Just lovely. - Phil A.

The form you chose made me think of a pyramid\'s power to hide secrets from all who would pry - great watercolour too Michael.

GOOD MORNING MICHAEL ~ I see we are in PYRAMIDAL MODE this morning ! In a 1234 etc poem one goes for words rather than syllables. Had you reversed them it would still have made sense and you end up with a DIAMOND as I did (deliberately) yesterday. Shape poems are linguistic fun rather than erudite ~ BUT ~ I like the message \"Don\'t get involved ~ Be an Ostrich\". Yours BRIAN

I think we\'ve all had those moments
of unintended frost, but the way you\'ve crafted the thawing period is masterful, and what a great last line. Maybe the day of warm Sun rays brought about the melt. Well constructed and well written, I truly enjoyed this one. - Phil A.

Your words always weave an engaging story and this one is no exception Michael - a read which ends in an \"all is well\" again - relationships often go through a spell of misunderstanding. I love the passion of colour in your picture.

The painting seems to be similar in theme to one you put on recently but the colours of this one are more vibrant but is still draws me into the subject. I do like your abstract paintings.

THE MUSIC OF THE SEA
MendedFences27 said:

Some call it the roar of the sea, here it\'s the music, and I\'ve heard it referred to as a whisper on a calm day. The ocean draws all men to it\'s shores, lures them with music, and its majesty. What a terrific poem on this subject. It lured you in and played you a song. Great art as well. - Phil A.

Thanks MICHAEL for an excellent poem ameliorated by an alluring painting ! Most of my life I have lived near the Sea ~ and still do (10 miles !). Coton in the Elms Derbyshire (70 MILES) is the furthest point from the Coast in the UK ~ which is why we are all THALASSOPHILES ! In the USA ~ (DAKOTA) ~ One can be over 1500 miles from the Ocean !
