A brilliant portrayal here, Frank! Both poignant and humorous at once. Sterling poem, as only you can do. Kudos!

Frank,
Great write! It’s so relatable!
It sounds like grandmother in her rocking chair talking about grandfather!

At times I find my mom talking about my
dad...as if talking to an audience...In reality, she’s the audience. The audience of one...herself!

my place in nothing
MendedFences27 said:

Looking up at the universe, we see only what\'s within the realm of our eyesight, but even if we include the acquisition of scientific knowledge, what we see or know about is infinitesimally \"small.\" This leaves us feeling powerless and of no consequence, \"small\" or \"nothing.\" If there are no \"Others\" then what is the point, \"it is nothing.\" I believe this is why Mankind is constantly exploring, to prove his own worth, and to find evidence of \"Others.\" We must continue the search, for our own sake and sanity.
Great poem. It got me to thinking. What else can one get from poetry? - Phil A.

As a natural born singer / songwriter and ex frontman i am always singing. I couldn\'t live without song! And loud and expressive. Great piece and good to see another who is similarly afflicted with the need to croak out a good song.

Such depth to these lines Frank - small becomes nothing which alters its host and readers are left with the thought that everything is tied up in human soul-heritage. A first rate read.

A fine write Frank. I knew this was going to have some depth to it, when it started with \'and....\'. A sort of breaking into one\'s thoughts, without any introduction, as it were. Maybe unlike me, waffling on in the intro! lol.

Loud applause for singing duets with the famed Emmy-Lou - such a swinging flow to this choral confession dear Frank - let me clear the tonsils and will join you anon.

A good voice is a blessing to listen to. I don\'t try to sing along, but am stimulated to sing on my own by one. A great way to express and release feelings! Good write on the topic, Frank!

Oh dear - don\'t really know emmy-lou and as for Elton his best piece which I truly love is Song for Guy because he doesn\'t sing much on that. :) That aside I do love the human voice - just been listening to Solveigs Song - one of my all time favourites - and a great poem Frank.

You do have a vivid imagination, Frank, and it shows in this whimsy, but interesting and well structured poem.

Makes one wonder what was in the \"yonder?\" Was it another \'cauldron?\" Did it have a different \"soup?\" A thought provoking, yet thoughtful presentation of the birth of the stars. Loved every spin of it.- Phil A.
