He was embarrassed by the tattoo on his wrist? Odd, but a great poem Frank.

Amazing how the norm of days past, which we took for granted, evolves. This poem states it well, Frank. Well done!

Thanks for reminding us Frank ~ just how pampered we are today ! I was born in 1983 ~ so I have always enjoyed Hotel Standard ~ Bathrooms with showers and H & C on tap ! At Home and now in my own Flat. We might be \"richer\" but when I look at my Grandparents ~ we are no happier ! It\'s not what we possess that brings happiness ~ It is our state of Mind and our day-by-day relationships with our Family Friends & Neighbours and with our Creator GOD ~ AMEN ~ Yours BRIAN Please check my tribute to Angela on a Beach ~ thanks BRIAN

Good write Frank. An outside loo too? As on a comedy show: \'But you just had a bath in January, and now it\'s June!\' heehee.

Yes this brings back memories including a 2 mile walk to school across fields and through woods - something that simply wouldn\'t happen today as we are so aware of the dangers for young children - but back then it was the norm.

Great poem about the \'good old days\', Frank! As a kid in Switzerland, we only had a bath once a week. Cleaned my feet the same way as you!

Indeed, we all dance through life alone ... some times with partners, sometimes without. Another fine write, Frank.

Beautifully written Frank. Had to look up broad-leaf dancer and came up with broad-leaf cattail, hope that is the one.
Trying to imagine that chilly cold Cheltenham morning while sweating in the heat here. :-)

Great writing, great structure! It is the sign of a master to turn a simple act into something much bigger and very special! And you are good at it, Frank!

Your writing is like watching a movie, how it progresses from scene to scene. So descriptive! This is another fine example, Frank. Well done.

My thoughts reflect Fay\'s, Frank. You speak well here of the commendable reverence to life in all forms that many today do not share as did those who hunted for sustenance. Beautiful poem!

A grand tribute to those who revere life as they should -- I could see that scene of hunger\'s need and the gratitude felt for achieving fullness - a great read all to the credit of your talented pen Frank.

Thanks FRED ~ In the Beginning was ELVIS ~ he blessed and influenced the Whole World ! Those of us born ~ after the death of ELVIS missed the euphoria but not the MAN ~ George Beverly Shea said \"Though he is dead ~ he lives on through his incomparable recorded Music\" (850 tracks) ! We used to say \"Next year Gracelands\" I visited in 2003 and I DID SEE ELVIS ~ AMEN ! Yours BRIAN

Good write Frank but I am afraid that \"Elvis has left the building\".

When the name Elvis is said the world knows who we are talking about - a wonderful reputation he created.
