Oohh, descendants and ancestors going back to beyond The Stone Age. If us two searched our family trees, there will be millions of \'em!

I\'m sure they will get the odd tickle of interest at that auction, Andy - human cupidity and stupidity knows no bounds...
Complete contrast to the tickles you got here, which definitively prove poets are a higher life form...

I was five and uncle cedric took me to this pub where the music was loud and a blonde lady was dancing and taking off her clothes. She removed everything except her black gloves and boots and then stood there like the five of spades. Unclre Cedric... why is her hair blonde on top but black down there, I asked. Well dusk, do you remember when yer dad hit his thumb with the hammer last month and it turned black? Yes i said. Well my lad, he said pointing at her nether regions, that\'s had some hammer son.

That song reborn on our TVs these days in the LLoyds bank advert always makes me think of my son and how he and his partner have built, day by day into the fabulous (Oh that word from the 60\'s LOL) unit they have become.
Of course us old codgers are a long way from \'only just begun\' and taking the words of your poem to heart is a must for us.
Grey days are still days which are lit by the eternal light which gave us life and preserves life.
Into my favourites Andy.

I’ve seen a blank canvas in a recognized gallery, displayed as art, so who shall claim that a Scribble is not poetry, btw - this is poetry

Yes, Andy. Just because I prefer rhyme and the rest doesn\'t mean I don\'t enjoy unstructured stuff (although no rhymes present doesn\'t mean it doesn\'t have any structure or cohesion). Whether I enjoy depends on the skill of the writer and the content - all very subjective judgments.

So true, the average person has no interest beyond the obvious in art or poetry. Indeed very few seem to appreciate poetry. Most seem to expect rhyme.... and say it cant be poetry if it doesn\'t rhyme.
I think the most of us on mps are far broader minded than that
