Not a Bad House.
dusk arising said:

For about 18 months i had an apartment on the first floor of the stately home Whitborne Hall. My living room looked out beneath the portico upon a view specifically landscaped for the occupant. Believe it or not i was actually on income support and housing benefit at the time. The only time in my life which i claimed benefits having gone bust under john majors extreme boob when the ERM collapsed and interest rates went thru the roof leaving people like me in the home improvements market without any work.
The house was of course immense and to wonder along its empty passageways and cellerage was a ghostly experience. But ib good weather i had many visitors to enjoy the high life with me.
Yep, brought back memories of the early 90\'s reading your words today.

Yes Michael\'s art work is masterful and we are blessed to have him here among us. And I too tend to see things within the picture. For one at first I thought it a foot, then I looked at it again here and I see it\'s a hand in a glove. Wonderful visual art to go with wonderful poetry from both of you. ; ) AP

Reflecting upon this, together with the comments so far and the picture reproduced here I am having to admit to myself that i have been guilty of taking Michael\'s work for granted.

I do so agree he is a fine, undoubtedly very talented, master of the visual art in many genres as we have all seen.

I guess i am making an excuse for my taking for granted when i tell you that i am always in \"the written word\" mode when i see these pics so rarely take time to appreciate their fineness.

I feel guilty now lol.

A fine tribute from you Goldfinch revealing how \'trippy\' your meditations upon this artwork become.

Oh lol, on a quiz prog it said \'After the war certain musical works were experimental; some not very good and rather trashy\'. It was a question on your favourite love-to-hate musician, Stockhausen!

Well chosen words.

..and here i reproduce \"It would be hard to find a word that dealt a greater injustice at the hands of the English language than “Stoic.” In its rightful place, Stoicism is a tool in the pursuit of self-mastery, perseverance, and wisdom: something one uses to live a great life, rather than some esoteric field of academic inquiry\".

I\'ll go for that 100%
