Death brings forth a sadness in those who new the newly passed with thoughts of both the suffering and the loving kindness which once occupied the shell before them.
In reality, the memory of one\'s life and living is within the living persons ability to generate worthy thought.

I would hate death to be meaning \'not really dead\', or to be some sort of suspended animation, especially in view of my organ donation poem.

A fine write Gold. Yes, happy memories are left .Though I don\'t know if I agree with it all. I mean, we all do physically die at some point - if it\'s a release from illness; or tragic accident; or natural old age; or whatever cause.

Goldfinch60,

This poem speaks to me in two ways. First, that even behind our most enthusiastic happy friends, we all have worries and fears. That it\'s best to always look beyond the surface. Even the most mundane of activities, such as drinking coffee, can worries rise to the surface.

Second, that such life and exuberance cannot be outdone by death itself.

Lovely words as always.

Andy,

I totally agree with d a and Michael!
‘ Loving is caring’ and
‘Friendship is worth its weight in gold’!

It’s such a blessing to have a friend like you!
A beautiful write accompanied by an exquisite choice of music which I thoroughly enjoyed listening to!
Thank you for sharing!

My love to Joyce and to you!

In later years friendship is worth its weight in gold - and that\'s all I would ask of any friendship should I lose my dear wife - no one will ever replace her. This is a touching write Andy.

It\'s what I heard on telly. I\'m going to look up the scheme online. You can too.
But - Doh! I only get attacked by an old lady in church - true! We sorted it out afterwards, that we both lost our place in the Communion queue. But most embarrassing - she got a bit vicious!

As we should all listen to those close confidences and worries of our loved ones. Sometimes confident reassurance is all that is required to return another to their former balance.
Kind, thoughtful and meaningful conversation - a tonic.

Now in leg pulling mode i am reading other things into this piece of yours today, so forgive me if i stretch things a little far. So this opportunistic lady you now drink coffee with has seen this tall good looking chap, still quite a catch, apparently on his own at home as is she. What whiles could she employ to share her later years with such a secure prize. Did it cross your mind LOL.

An aside maybe - I heard of the organ donation plan for next Spring. We shall all be opted-in, unless we opted out.
I started worrying about being dead, not the process of dying - I really did!
is the opting-in system controversial?

Your faith may have died in this poem. But to sing in the choir and to talk with friends... Brings such a sense of community and belonging, which I think find their rooting in Christian faith...

Free parking helps too! Great read as always.

GOOD MORNING UNCLE STEVE ! Thanks for a very stirring Piece of Classical Music to wake ME (B) up this MORNING (9am) and liven ME (A) up this EVENING (8pm) ! FIDO may censor the CAN CAN and say CAN*T CAN*T !
The GOOD BOOK says *Christians should meet together ~ wherever & whenever we can !* WHY ? Fellowship (talking with with FRIENDS) Worship (singing in the Choir) Familyship (good coffee & chocolate biscuits and a parking permit etc etc !). We go to Church (B in UK) & (A in NZ) for the above reasons but mainly to be filled with Gods HOLY SPIRIT ~ AMEN. Joyce & You & Your Family are in our Prayers 24/7 Amen !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & JOYCE

ANGELA HERE ! We dont hear music quite like that in NZ ! Love the JAZZ / BLUE GRASS with vocals & the Lindy Hop ! All my faves - I cant wait to visit the Apalachians again in the FALL. BRIAN has a small UKE / BANJO he carries in the USA always a chance to sit in ! The Classical Guitar is too much for Banjo Pickers (He was taught Banjo by his Uncle Fred !). Love the story of the *Two Friends* made me BROODY. We trust that God will grant us a BOY (Daniel) for Brian to take to the Match and a GIRL (Esther) to come shopping with me ! Loretta Lynn was a Grandmother @ my AGE !

BLESSINGS & PEACE for You & Joyce
