Just viewed Brians posting and, voila, the same painting by my favourite artist. Worth going all the way to Glasgow just to see it. Great works this week Brian.

Happy to \'bear with\' you in this week! We felt some nails and thorns in palms of our hands at one service, to remind us of the pains. A fine write again Gold.

Yes, a necessarily \'heavy\' time, then the mood changes on the Sunday/Sabbath (which is Saturday really, I know!).
We are \'journeying\', somehow continuing with Jesus in His trials, as He said. This series helps me - renews and reminds me.
You washing any feet tonight? Some places have such a service.

A fine write Gold.
As in hymns, was it: \'it was our sins that held Him there?\' Well, partly I think, but His love caused Him to stay there for us.
We would have had it (no hope) if He had come down from the cross, as some taunted Him to do.

A fine write Gold. The \'religious\' leaders got some of Jesus\' most scathing comments. They were the hypocrites, not the \'common people\'.
Of course this does not mean all religious/Christian/spiritual leaders.

Gold,
This is a beautiful posting!
The picture is exquisite and your poem accentuates its profound meaning!
As a side note, in my Italian dialect āsemaneā means weeks! I find that very interesting as it being part of the word āGethsemaneā!

Thanks Gold. Well, we had no sermon - ooh! The long readings took up the time.
And yet to point out a friend (or former friend?) with a kiss was despicable, outrageous, etc.
Do we have some care and thought for Judas though, later on, when he plunges into the darkness of suicide?

I read recently that Judas needed to kiss Jesus, or give some other indication of who He was, because of Jesus\' \'ordinariness\', not appearing as a super-saint nor with a halo. The crowd may not have known which one was Jesus otherwise.

A fine write Gold. Maybe they would have stayed awake, but their \'flesh\' got too tired. Jesus says to them in one (or more?)gospel: \'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak\'.
