Thanks ANDY ~ \"Bridge\" is my favourite S & G Song ~ made my Sunday ! Which CHOIR are you in ~ I heard it sung recently ~ The last verse always gives me GOOSE PIMPLES ! I learned to play Bridge on a CRUISE (very Middle Class for a Scouser !) I agree any group I play with takes it all far too seriously and always insist on the rules ~ spoils the fun of tapping & rapping ~ It\'s only a GAME ! The same is true of scrabble which I generally win because I have the names of six million Oganic Compounds to draw on although CHLOROPHYLL and HAEMOGLOBIN are a little too verbose for SCRABBLE but I have got INSULIN & ENZYME (on a triple word score) and of course XYLENE etc. Seriousness and the hatred of being beaten (especially by a GIRL) is also the downside of CHESS. When we had a Yoko Ono Exhibition (she would ring from the States & Chat !) one of the dynamic exhibits was an ALL WHITE Chess set ! I played with several people but after about 10 or more moves we had to agree to mutually surrender and PEACE was declared ! This was YOKOS intention ! All she was saying \"Is give PEACE a chance !\" I like playing GARDEN CHESS with real big pieces ! Yours BRIAN

A few years ago my son sat next to AG on a flight and although he thought he knew him from somewhere didn\'t recognise him. They started talking and Art asked my son what he did for a living - they chatted a while and then my son asked \'And what about you?\' Art replied \'Oh I sing a bit\'. It was only then that the penny dropped.

I\'ve never played but I do see a group who play regularly and get so engrossed and serious about it to the point where it seems to me there is no enjoyment - perhaps that why it doesn\'t appeal to me = fine write which I enjoyed by the way.

A beautiful message, Gold!
It’s reading writings
such as yours that
gives us all...
the hope, the love,
and the light we wish for
and want in our lives!
The great pic and music

beautifully!
Thank you for sharing!

Gold,
I just read your poem from yesterday. A fine write and you are so right! We’re on a journey that will take us into eternity! I admire your optimism! There’s nothing to be afraid of! As my dad would always say, “I’m here! Whenever you’re ready, I’m ready! I’m waiting and well prepared!” He died peacefully!

Loved the sentiments - so true - what would life be without the arts....... and the picture amazed me because it is so \"modern\" and I never would have thought it was painted as early as 1913.......I see so many things - a bird, a fox, and even a sneaker!
