An old song suggested \'catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, never let it fade away\'.
Plain to see the star you hold has not faded Goldfinch.
I share your wishes as i\'m sure do most here. I know i have written on this same subject \"shall we know peace when she comes, this stranger to our land\"
Walk by your river in peace.

Oh you\'ve made my day - one of my all time favourite singers - the sexiest voice on vinyl. And a super meditative write - I am not one for looking back on my life and what once was (that just makes me so depressed) but I do like reflecting on the joys of being alive - a knowingness - a great write Andy.

Less frequent your river walks may be but both you and the river know it is still there when you need it.
Reflecting upon what i have just written here i suspect that the time of most need are these challenging days you live in. May i suggest gentle meditation upon your riverbank within your minds eye. Shut off and remind yourself of the things which surround you upon the riverbank.... you can be there in mind.... meditate as if you were looking at your river a few feet away.

A meditative write Gold, and true. I get to a River or two, more likely on warm/mild days. Otherwise I rush along, and don\'t really see much, if it\'s too chilly.
Maybe it helped you gather thoughts, strength, etc, as you then returned to \'everyday life\'.

Well it had to be done,
The duvet cover needed changing.
I had lost the knack,
I gave up after three hours,
I still couldn\'t find
The arm holes.

OK so Goldfinch is the weatherman. You\'re very brave indeed. So its your fault is it,.. this terrible weather we\'re getting... I know, I know excuses ... you\'re saving up the good stuff till you have a vacation... a cheap trick if ever i saw one.
And now we\'ve got to fiddle with the clocks to mend your mistakes with daylight.
Yours must be one of the easiest jobs to get.... you can get all your predictions wrong (no hurricane etc) and still have a job tomorrow.... sounds a bit Fishy to me.

This terrific write resonates loud and clear! The one thing missing...hail! Last year, on our way to Rome from the Campania region, we experienced all that you’ve described with a final hurrah of a hail storm! The good thing is that we’re here to talk about it!
I enjoyed Ennio Morricone’s “The Mission”. Awesome...Morricone conducts Morricone🎶😊
My love to Joyce and to you!
