I Am Here.

I knew you were in there somewhere! Dare i begin to think your inspiration for your fine output on mps is drawn from a glass of your favourite tipple... no, i think not - but i\'ve the cheek to suggest it.

Nice to see that \'you are there\', Goldie! And to see you with a bottle of wine and a glass in your hand endears you to me even more! Just came back from Costco with a carton full of bottles, including some old Zinfandel and a Cote du Rhone. The Zinfandel has 15% Alcohol which makes it rather heavy. But I like these kind of wines. And yes, my day is made if I wake up and I am still breathing!
Here is to you, my friend, may we be able to enjoy a glass once in a while for a long time to come!
Oh, btw, I did enjoy your poem!

Well this got me thinking - I\'ve just looked back and see that I made some 340 postings last year but many of those were multiple postings (like yesterday with 3 limericks in one go) so bearing this in mind am up there with you Andy - and this doesn\'t take into account a number of multiple couplet and one-liner postings and a few on fusions which I haven\'t copied into this main gallery.. Wow - where did they all come from.

I dunno how many exactly I\'ve written in the past year, but that\'s good going - average of more than one per day.

A fine write and witness Gold. The hymn in the clip is good, but it\'s \'orrible if not sung properly.
And a way to kill ofs some hymns - sing them in \'rounds\' especially if not well known hymns. Causes utter chaos!

Unending Light?
dusk arising said:

Inner light ... is it the strength held in our knowledge/belief in continuum of our spritual being beyond the here and now? The \'force\' which drives us on through adversity. The hopes and wishes of better tomorrows? Or the love of what we are all a part of.
Deprived of our sense of vision we are the more aware of our spiritual nature. Maybe the turning off of the light turned on daylight distancing the other.
Another excellent write sir.

Great stuff Andy - In the gales the other night the sensor on one of our outside lights got a touch of the vapours and was switching on and off all night long- I would have switched it off permanently but the switch is in the garage and didn\'t want to go outside in my nethers.

Doh! lol. Good write Gold. Thought you had a vision there, like St Pauls\' bright light. Knocked him off his horse, so some pics show! Did he have a horse?!

Great write. When I was a kid and some would suggest that I started writing to deal with my emotions. I laughed and went on. Then when I was a teenager and had my first crush I wrote my first poem. I haven\'t stopped writing since.

P.s. my crush tore up the poem and had her brother beat me up

writing can feel so therapeutic sometimes ! :-) perhaps that is why you write so much lol , there is something so lovely about being able to write and being able to write on anything you want ! something inspired you and it was that unfinished painting . you know wow over 400 poems in one year, thats truly amazing! i enjoyed reading this ....you just love to write so just write away :-)

Good write Gold. I did reach 1,000 poems recently! Not all published yet, and taking more than a year to write them all.
Sometimes nothing one day for me; then maybe on, two, or three together.

Great write Andy - but I have the opposite problem - I have the ideas but spend ages searching for the right words to express them. I am constantly searching the rhyming dictionary and the thesaurus - drives my wife mad I\'m sure.

walking to the top of a hill , you are both walking the way you want to in the same direction so it does not matter who reaches the top first .. because you will both reach the same place in the end .. lovely piece of writing .. i like how you used the idea of walking to the top of a hill, to describe reaching a nice destination , very nice indeed

i find this so utterly annoyng , when i am trying to find something and no matter how much i look i can\'t! maybe just maybe we are so desperate to find what it is we are searching for that in our hurried and annoyed mind , we end up not looking properly , that or not doing a good enough search lol !

Goldie, you really hit a nerve here. Do you know how many times I had to call my wife\'s cell phone so we would hear it and hopefully find it? Won\'t even mention glasses.

I only have a mobile so we can use it to find my wife\'s when it goes missing. Just a few minutes ago we were searching the freezer for some roasted peppers which my wife prepared a few days ago - out came the drawers and no luck \'they\'re in a freezer bag here somewhere\' she assured me. Anyway we finally found them - not in a freezer bag but in a storage tub !! Yes I can relate to this Andy.

Your great poem is right on, Goldie!
