Waiting Words.

A time of mixed emotions maybe? I know unsteady/unstable times for me leave me unable to focus upon writing a piece.
The mind has to be running in the right fashion to set ones head and hand to the task.

But words that congregate can be a vehicle of adventure and amazement for the heart and soul to express the joys and sorrows. Beautiful write Andy.

Words words, and more words! Sometimes we may feel constricted with one-poem-per-day on here. Yet we would not have time to read hundreds of poems of each poet at once, not to post loads of our own poems each day.
Of course, we can always write as many as we wish, off-site, to our heart\'s content. Unless we dry up a while, that is!

Your great poem speaks to the converted here. At my age, every day is a gift. And as you say, this gift is filled with wonder and adventure, even on a slow day!

God and Religion.
dusk arising said:

It seems there now are many of us who were brought up in the christian tradition who have become dissatisfied with the way that religion has been \'taught\' to us in a strict and archaic \'god fearing\' manner and realised the contradictions between the lesson and the tradition/church. Having the courage to look further is truly eye opening.

These days i think of god as being \'the way\' rather than a deity. I am a spiritual person and hold those christian ethics i grew up with to be wholesome but cannot accept \'holier than thou\' attitudes from any fundamentalist regardless of their \'faith\'.
It seems that whatever god is, \'he/she/it\' has given us the ability to love and living a loving life (thats love in its broadest sense i.e. not just romantic love) surely must be the key to living a life close to \'god\' whatever that may be.

Very thought provoking writing sir!

Hi Goldfinch!

A powerful, evocative poem on religion. Thank you!
God is good all the time, mankind can be disruptive often dishonouring him.

Keep writing

Good write Gold. I\'m rather fundamental. There can be many avenues, though I don\'t see everyone as worshipping the same God.

People always talk about \"living in the moment\" but if you don\'t have the past, what is the present? And you are able to see the past when you look at your wife and how she would love you for that!
