She has carried so much burden on her for too long, she just need to unload it. This is a way to do so. On the other hand, she is blessed to have you beside her. Very heart touching. Hug from me.

I sometimes question God\'s guidance. It\'s no wonder we sometimes question Him! Where is He when we need Him most?

When one is taught to believe that a higher power is directing every aspect of our lives, it is understandable what she said. Not a judgment, simply an observation.
Your devotion to her is a wonderful tribute to your love, Goldie, and an inspiration to all. May you find the strength to carry on!

God can take a little blame even if he doesn\'t deserve it. Same as Jesus died on the cross for our sins. God takes it all in because he loves us all.

After my earlier comment and my comment exchange with Martina, I would like to say this:
The reason this poem affected me so much is that my mom was suffering from dementia, my dad\'s best friend\'s wife had Alzheimers and he cared for her for years, my sister has MS and her daughter is always there for her, and my sister in law\'s husband is in early stages of dementia.
I think it is time that we recognize the incredible amount of love and effort made by the care-givers. These afflictions are as hard if not harder for them then they are for the people suffering. That is why I think Goldfinch is a saint. I admire and salute him.

Goldfinch, I do not cry easily. I think the last time I cried was when my mom died. But reading your poem tonight (yes, it is still Thursday here), I had a hard time to hold these tears back. The way you take care of her...you are a saint. I do worry that this will happen to us, either me or my wife, and how will I react if it is her? Will she take care of me? I want to be able to read it again in the future, so I am making it a favorite.

Superb write Andy and yes the music fits it well - not my favourite movement but so full of pathos for this oh so sad tale.

Sensitive write Gold. Hold on in there, so you don\'t both go \'downhill\' - if it is downhill, or whatever it is. Not that your wife has \'lost her faith\' altogether\' surely.
We might all do this in some cases, sometimes in lesser troubles, just because we are fed up or something.
Then there\'s the \'Why\' or \'Whys\' of real situations, some that we can\'t answer, or not \'this side of heaven\', as they say. Thinking of you both in prayers.

WOW ANDY ~ A very challenging Message so early in the Morning ~ especially when backed by the \"Pathetique\" Recntly I have visited and prayed with \"Choice Saints\" Fumbling ~ Drizzling & Drooling\" while I held their hand ~ former intellectuals reduced to dribbling infants. They did not exactly \"blame\" God but both Harold and John asked me to pray that the Lord would \"Take them home to Heaven\" In the case of Harold my prayers have been answered ! My Prayers are with you ANDY and your lovely wife ~ AMEN ~ Your Friend Brian ~ I apologise that today my Poem (about Angela) carries a message the is the opposite of Yours B.

I grew up in Arizona so I never had to deal with the time change until I joined the Navy... Thirty years later, I still think it\'s stupid.

Here is the solution, Goldfinch: Move to Hawaii. We do NOT change the time. On the other hand, we always have to keep in mind the changing time differences with places where they DO change the time.
I really like your poem! As Einstein said, time is relative! :-)

When God created Planet Earth as a suitable habitat for Homo Sapiens Sapiens ~ He also provided Times & Seasons ~ Day & Night and Spring ~ Summer ~ Autumn ~ Winter. Man introduced the division of Day & Night into 24 hours and each hour into 60 minutes and each minute in 60 seconds ~ very non-metric ! This was to enable us to time Football Matches etc and to time records for the Olympic Games. Springing forward an hour in the Spring ~ technically makes it lighter for kds going to School in the morning ~ so we have to Fall back an hour in the Fall (AUTUMN) to balance the books. For the Ancients who still rise and fall according to the Sun 6 am (up with t\'Sun to milk our cows) is now 5 am ~ OK However if you\'ve adjusted your TEASMADE (we know you\'ve got one !) to BST then you will have to smoulder in the PIT for an extra hour. Another example of trying to alter God\'s plan and reaping a whirlwind ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

THANKS ANDY ~ Real life is always better than fiction When I was doing Research (Biochemistry) I had a card on my bench saying \"Prayer changes things\" My Professor asked me if I prayed about the Project ? I said yes in Biochemistry we are only thinking God\'s thoughts after Him ! We had been stuck on a crux in the synthesis of a natural product (an organic molecule). I prayed hard that night and the very next day I found the answer in an Obscure Indian Chemical Journal which enabled the synthesis to move forward ! My Supervisor was delighted and his comment was \"You must have really prayed hard last night !\" AMEN ! Yours BRIAN
