Thanks ANDY ~ MOODY BLUES great way to start a Wednesday ! All poems (except for SANS MOTS) consist of WORDS ~ BUT it is the choice of those WORDS ~ and their ORDERING ~ that morphs them into a POEM. There is only on PERFECT POET on this SITE (SANTA FAY). When I read her Poetry I want to lay down my QUILL once and for ever ! But PARADOXICALLY she also spurs me to go on ! GOD has promised me at least another 35 years and ~ perhaps when I too am 70 I might pen ONE GOOD POEM ? Your Poetry always contains WORDS of LOVE of WONDER and bring a blessing (and a challenge) to us each day ~ keep writing. Additionally you win the MPS PRIZE for your excellent choice of Music to accompany ~ ANGELA & I love it. Thanks for caring & sharing. Please enjoy ANGELA\'S NZ Haiku & Senryu ~ OK ~ Yours BRIAN & ANGELA in Auckland this week !

Thanks Gold. I note my poems (always in pencil!) in a notepad. Sometimes I may miss a page accidentally. Then I return to use up that page in a short poem, which may turn out with deeper thought, not merely to \'fill in a page\'.
I thought of a saying, goes something like: \'I am silent before you (in prayer); I select words from my soul (including my mind) as they arise. But they undisturb the peace of the sanctuary of my heart. I commune here in prayer, but soon must stop, and return to everyday things, yet with peace abiding within\'.
This is part ad hoc, maybe not on Google search. And of course we say spoken prayers too.

I often wonder of the catharsis of writing and of the sharing of writing.

I think that idea of releasing yourself to be read by others is powerful. In life I have learned to stop releasing myself but here peopke can choose to read or comment or not so I can release without fear!

I could relate to the \'blank page\'. It often surprises me how a piece begins and ends. I always believe it is telling me something about what I need to be laying attention to.

Thanks for sharing your \'Just thinking\'

We\'re part of the \'light brigade\'. Nope, not the one at Balaclava in 1854, though we were both there too! I know we don\'t rubbish \'dark\' poems, but we tend towards the light, and desire others to also :)

THANKS ANDY ~ You are branching out with your MUSIC. I do enjoy (some) Folk Singing but it always amuses me ! I have an Australian Friend who has some Spooky Men CD\'s. Your clip is hilarious ! Love the POEM I have been in Large Choirs (Bass / Baritone) and singing music like Handel\'s Messiah always lifts me to a Seventh Heaven. Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN.

OOOOOOOOOOO ANDY: This one really made me CRY! BRIAN and I love IRELAND and Irish singers like Daniel O\'Donnel as you know. GALWAY BAY is Brians favourite Irish Song and we often sing it as a duet (Brian playing the Guitar) as a Party Piece, what the MAORIS will make of it I don\'t know. Having been born in Liverpool BRIAN was weaned on GUINNESS so he loves the acquired taste! It takes him an hour to drink a pint which keeps him quiet & sober. Being half Spanish I prefer SAN MIGUEL LAGER which you can get in NZ and of course GUINNESS : AMEN. l Love your POEM today, beautifully crafted and a sting of Irish Humour in the tail ~ lovely!
Blessings and Love to JOYCE : ANGELA XXXX Ive taken over the site and my POEM for today is, MELODY OF LOVE : ENJOY

Goldfinch, not many miles from your door in the faithful city of Worcester stands a hostelry which is reputed to serve the finest draught guinness anywhere in the U.K.
The \'Lamb and Flag\' on the tything is frequented by several celebrity and famous faces purely for that reason. I\'m not a guinness drinker but i know one peculiarity (to me) is that each pint is filled to near the top of the glass and the head removed with a \'swipe\' of a table knife.
