Great stuff and what does it matter if perfection is never obtained - its the sheer joy of it without worrying about others that counts, Keep singing G.

Point well taken in the last four lines ... food for thought! As an ex-choir member I relate to your poem and enjoyed it, Goldie.

Singing oh yes, such joy. I used to keep my voice in condition forever sucking on those foul tasting tiny liquorice and eucalyptus pellets which are marvelous for voice clarity. And whats the point of doing anything if you do not strive to do it well. To err is human. To say to your erring neighbor \'lets try that again\' is humane.

Indeed, what would you aim for? You do have a problem Goldfinch, it\'s hard to improve on perfection!

A fine write G/F. Makes sense. I suppose if all was perfect what would we do? For what would we aim?
Was you in the choir in 1066? I read that congregations didn\'t seem to sing a dicky-bird until about the 1500\'s, only the choirs!

Goldfinch60 this sort of work i love. Pure poetry and honesty of the simple day to day norm. I was there in my local coffee shop with you, seeing what i see. But it has to be worded and presented just right. You nailed it sir!

I like it with cream & Amaretto or Baileys ! We have A Proper Coffee Shop in town ~ where you choose your Ground Coffee and they perk it for you can have a liqueur with it for an extra POUND ~ HEAVEN. Thanks for sharing ~ you are in my Prayers ~ BRIAN

Filter coffee or French Press - the only way to get a full rounded cup of coffee. Great scribe and I\'m with you G - a coffee and watching the world go by but not Costas, Cafe Nero or Starbucks. Their coffee is all forced through a machine and loses out on the subtleties of the flavour. Also their charges are so high and service levels are nil. We have a Hotel where you can sit in comfort and someone comes over to serve you at half the price - Sorry - I could go on and on about coffee.

Goldfinch, this is genius! Just think, if we could switch from one to another of these universes and see what the different choices resulted in. My imagination is going wild!

A fine write G/F. Not to discredit the theme altogether by being flippant, but - oohh yes, I know them. I went to see E.T. You turn left after Saturn and he\'s on the third planet on your right! heehee. Or you can take the No.11 bus there. Will that be reality in years ahead?!

A little short but packing a punch. Well done, Finch the man. A very interesting subject to write a poem about. If I could meet all of the other mes, I would just casually start talking a bunch of banter to them, and then have the greatest night of my life. Can\' t wait for the next one buddy, keep it up.

My heart goes out to you Goldfinch!
Since we both work, there is a division of labor in our household too. I very often cook, clean, do the dishes, the laundry and the shopping, BUT we NEVER iron anything anymore. I remember my mother ironing even the underwear, but that was in a different lifetime.
