What I don\'t like is one continuous sentence that goes on and on with no capitals, and all the words seem to run in together and...…. (bit like this sentence).

How do you find the speech marks (\".....\") in the poem? I tend to leave them out, and start speech with capital letters. The speech marks can be a bit distracting, I find, but may be helpful to others.
Also, sometimes it\'s not the verbatim words that people said. I\'m not aiming to put words in people\'s mouths that they didn\'t actually say!
