Now this one threw me off Orchi. It is a difficult task to draft a poem or hymn with genealogical names, especially biblical ones. This took me down a trail that is seldom traveled and with no way out. Loved the bold type if read just that it still gives the essence of the poem. Well done my friend.

One of my favorite carols is the Coventry Carol. Such a horrific event, and yet this is EXACTLY what power does. It kills to maintain itself. Sad state of affairs we humans find ourselves in. Not unlike a couple of gluggers we can neither confirm not deny knowing. 🤣 Well done, on this, Orchi! 🌹🙏🖤🕯️🐦‍⬛

Now Orchi this one should be rated mature for violence, imagine some two year old being read this as a bedtime story. Fido are you asleep? I knew that this one was coming and what were those (wise men?) doing poking the bear? Didn\'t they know Herod had a bad temper and didn\'t take jokes well? A good hymn indeed but not one I would want to sing of a Sunday. I like my Sunday peaceful.

Your poem revolves around the theme of love as a divine attribute and a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith. It emphasizes that love is derived from God, who exemplifies love through the sacrifice of His Son for humanity\'s sins. The poem calls for mutual love among individuals, illustrating that true knowledge of God is demonstrated through love for one another.

Your poem recounts the martyrdom of Stephen, the first Christian martyr, emphasizing his faith and forgiveness in the face of persecution and violence. It highlights the contrast between the rage of the Jewish Council and Stephen\'s steadfastness in his belief, culminating in his prayer for forgiveness for his enemies.

Benedictus Blessing
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Orchi, this is beautiful…steady, faithful, and musically grounded in a way that feels lived-in, not performative. You keep the blessing clear and strong, and the movement from darkness to light lands with real warmth. Loved this, my friend…now excuse me while I trip over my own incense because BENEDICTUS becomes BENNY-DICTUS MAXIMUS GLUGGUS and suddenly Popeyeus Glug Maxiumus Solus is over here chanting the Yorkshire tune through a can of slimy spinach like “glug…glug…GLUG” and I’m trying to be reverent but the glug has possessed the entire sanctuary. Glug on, my friend…glug on. 😅 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
