Aww, you\'ll be missed by some.
\'Live so as to be missed\' (Robert Murray McCheyne).
A bit double-edged. Did he mean \'Live so as to be un-noticed\' or \'Live, so that when you\'re gone, folk will miss you\'? I prefer the latter explanation.

All Downhill from Here

May that path go on for many many more miles Garry.
My wife and I used to walk the Yorkshire Dales back in the day and we have climbed Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent but we did not do Ingleborough for some reason.

You SHOULD get to choose! I too have always have that looming fear of a premature death and have arranged for mine. I agree that people should celebrate your life!! Not mourn your death....

My kind of poem - succinct, well constructed, thought provoking, and a darn good read.

I thought this could be about strup mining . Kentucky or West Virginia , where they strip away huge mountains , fill in river valleys with the debris . And you wind up with a flat landscape with no soil value unfit for growing anything but scrub pine .
