Well, the news should be announced as bad news because it is all it is. I read news because I only understand better if reading but lately I\'m skimming. Too bad to have all my attention. I agree with Pauly when he said nothing can be changed but I don\'t want to be alienated aither. Thanks for your opinion.

the last line. we could be. but don\'t worry dear. we can never change the future no matter what we think, do feel or say. free will or not we cannot change the future. don\'t let this out. for the world is not ready for this knowledge. thanks

WOW! Malu, you are tackling some very heavy issues here and you are asking some very poignant questions!
Please allow me some time to get back to you later, after I had a chance to think this over.
Great writing, great subject, great questions!

Life change
FredPeyer said:

You beautifully caught the joy and happiness, but also the fear and pain, we experience when becoming parents. None of us were trained as mothers or fathers. From one day to the next we simply are, and then the fun starts, to say nothing of the sleepless nights. But it is all WORTH IT!!!
Thank you for a great poem.

I love the line \'to face the world as a lioness\' so true mum. You passion and love of motherhood and your lovely child shine out with your words.

and I bet you faced it with all the grace you could possibly muster up. children are such a catch arn\'t they? that\'s why they get through everything . it\'s a good moment in life and it\'s about joy so embrace all you give to your children and embrace what they give you. this poem is special, I can tell that easily and so for that reason you score well over 10/10. a lovely sentimental poem and I loved it.

Just so very beautiful

It\'s story what a mother
Goes through...
My wife was 17 with
Our first child, just a kid
To go through that...

Is love selfish?

Kevin, by the time passes one learn so much. I\'ve learned a lot. Even the most truly love can get to scare people. They think why that person loves me so much. Well, no me. I give myself and the moment I have with any body even if with a child I\'m really there. But I understand that it can be scary sometimes. Thanks for your comment.

Is love selfish?
kevin browne said:

too much love will kill you in the circumstance of it happening. as humans we have compulsive emotions that spiral out of control and all sorts of things can go wrong or suffer when we feel we are not being loved enough, nit just by your partner but family and friends. you open up and tell the world your love is on offer. oh how us men would take the offer up in an instant. your writing shows in the expressions in your poetry who you are and more so, what you want and there is nothing wrong with that. selfish? we can all beg to differ so just take it on the chin if selfish in the right degree is a fine thing.

Thanks love. I believe we all long for love but are we prepared to receive so much love? Would we not be overwhelmed and suffocated?

What a beautiful declaration of love. We love and we would like to be loved in return. If that is selfishness, so be it. Love your poem as usual Malu!

\"The secret that you carry in your heart\" hmmm - I\'d shout YOU from the rooftops were you mine! To air your desires like you state is surely and invitation for someone to respond to with equal love. What\'s selfish about an invitation like that? Wow, what a generous offer!

Not a lonely bird
Cyprian Van Dyke said:

This is a very moving poem. It read just like a song, with the repeated \"when the night comes,\" and where it was repeated was unexpected to me and added so much more melody to this read. There was a poem, from the show Taxi, the episode called, Elain\'s Secret Admirer, spoke of a woman \"dancing to sonnets,\" and I couldn\'t imagine someone dancing to something read; but this poem of yours gives me the imagery. Tyfs!

Oh this is gorgeous! You seduce me with your first four lines. So much so i re-read them, so many times (lovely).
Waking me then with \'When the day comes\', yes you really do convey the change and then you break my heart with that bird.
Beautifully moving. You clever thing you. +fav\'s

First of all, thanks for the picture showing the pink hibiscus, Hawaii\'s State flower (it\'s actually the bright yellow one, but a hibiscus is a hibiscus).
Comparing feelings to color is so true. (Yesterday I saw red, today I am feeling blue). I just love your writing. It gets under my skin. Once I start reading I cannot stop.
