A very nice and tender poem, Malu! Not far from my house there is this HUGE tree and every evening there seems to be a bird convention going on with each bird seeming to sing at the same time. I guess it is a bit like us humans, everybody talks and nobody listens!
I recently took a picture of birds and after reading your poem think that maybe I should write something for that picture! Thanks!

Good write, I feed the birds and occasionally they eat from my hand, but more often than not we converse though our eyes as we stand each side of the bird table, trust is always there.

This is a very good write, your son is a poet, he may deny it but things and ideas change. Tell him that back in the time when opera was emerging it was the rap of the day.

Thanks Fred. Yes, writing is very personal and I respect his boundaries. I\'m never pushy but I just give them ideas or comment about something I find interesting. He came back living with me after two years by himself. He is better living with me. We are closer. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it.

Dear Malu, this collaboration poem between you and your son is just great! I wish my kids could write, or have an interest in poetry. You are very lucky!
As a father, while I certainly am not trying to tell you anything, I would do what you do, do not push. Let him come on his own. Writing is very personal and younger people especially are hesitant to open themselves up to other people. It does not matter whether or not he posts anything here, he is a good writer!

He\'s a poet just like his Mom , this is fun I painted a few paintings with my daughter and they are the ones I hold most special and I bet this is special also ,even though he will probably say you\'re a rapper not a poet

I printed it off and put it under my pillow. Now when that alarm clock goes off i shall not linger in my bed trying to pull together the remnants of a lost dream. No. I shall promptly read your instructive poem and rush into my day with a smiling rhythm in my step.

A very strong and personal account, Malu! A lot of times adults don\'t know how much their actions influence the children. A small child especially takes words at face value and can easily be traumatized by them. I admire you for having overcome a difficult childhood to be the beautiful and strong person you are today!

What a beautiful, heart-rendering reflection on a terrifying childhood! Made sadder by the fact that it is such a common experience for children. Your poem, in its brutal honesty, touched me deeply, Malu. Congratulations!

About sex and orgasm
Goldfinch60 said:

Good write. I agree with what Fred has said, it is making love that is the important thing, showing th love you have for each other in a physical way to augment the combing of souls in a wonderfully loving relationship.

About sex and orgasm
FredPeyer said:

There is a big difference between \'having sex\' and \'making love\'. What you are writing about is \'making love\' where the physical is only one aspect of the whole and where the mental, the feelings, and the soul are actually much more important, making orgasm seem rather like an after-thought. I am not talking about platonic love, but love-making where each partner is more concerned with pleasing the other partner than pleasing him/herself. Great writing and great contribution to an interesting discussion, Malu!

About sex and orgasm
malubotelho said:

Brian my brother, what I\'m talking about here and seems like no one understood because maybe I did not explain enough. It is all about not having an orgasm and staying connected as much as possible. When I say connected I mean the penis inside the vagina without too much moviment. But accoplad. It is all about the. Transmutation of the sexual energy building it day after day having sex without a orgasm. Without losing your sexual energy. There are some mantras involved in this practice. It is called tantric sex. Seems like no one ever heard about this. That is fine though because it is not common. Thanks my younger brother. You are very young. To tell you the truth, you could be my son. I think I\'m going to begin calling you baby Brian.
