Oedipus would never prosper by taking up that odious offer - at least in my Chronicles - - mind you I like a bit of poetic history delivered thy way mine clever Sir Neville.

and those inheritors of life\'s, guessing games
questing Poet\'s and and philosophical sages\'
(loved the humour, you squeezed
out of this morose tragedy, inking of poetic ill-fate)

All those ups and downs.... like a country road in fine weather.... a time to relax and enjoy the ride.
Fore and aft with nothing more than a surface ripple to tease and such rich picking beneath the surface. How she loves to be in his keep net when he has his tackle out.

Wot flares? Do try to hang onto them just a little longer.... they will be back... not that I\'ll be wearing them ...as impractical as those tight ankle jobs that are still around now....
Thanks Nev - I\'ve been wanting to get my frustration re changing fashion for some (a very) long time...

Time was back in the sixties when we all wore denim jeans and denim jackets, faded of course. A look I still admire and have the clobber to prove it though, just as you suggest, one doesnt strike the same presence as all those years ago. now where did I park my Lambretta.

Yes I wonder these things too, but it must be so if true love was involved.

Indeed I\'m reminded of the time when I discovered that the young lady singing in a group i was playing with disclosed to me that she was the daughter of one of my old flames and had heard such wonderful stories about me as only a mother would share with her daughter. My head swelled - and I wrote poetry.

How Well Will You Remember Me
L. B. Mek said:

in one of my older scribbles
I remember writing
\'I shall keep that promise
I broke, while at your side\'
(or something like that)
and that\'s what essence you imbue
in these words, I think
a yearning
for us not, to become
yet another source
of hurt
to the ones, we once
loved, so earnestly
with all our heart...
(as-ever your subtlety
just drips between my defenceless cracks
and bleeds my bruises anew
staining my scars, a little darker
while reminding me of my fallibility
and reaffirming my choices
to become, that better me
I strive to find..)
simply beautiful honesty and bravery
being showcased in your poetry, dear empathetic Poet
